perfect lightweight hiking shoe for the outdoors. I took these to Alaska on vacation and put them to use. Hiked trails, mountains, roads, rivers, explored tidepools you name it. all around a great shoe. I would recommend pairing these with a good insole if you plan to use them for long periods of time as the bottom of the sole( outside the shoe) is very rigid and durable, but at times the stiffness and hardness can be felt on the bottom of your foot.

I 've tried boots from several other brands/stores, and finally, after hearing me repeatedly complain about said failed footwear, my brother recommended Merrell. [ I was finally happy to see a wide light weight hiker from Keen. For awhile most of their light weight hikers never came in wide, so this is very welcome. The shoe overall is well build with solid traction. They are sneaker comfortable out of the box but I do wish they had slightly more arch support. The lack of arch support was solved by using a Keen foot insert, the k- 10. Tons of room the toe box too.

Not too heavy, and the waterproofing has worked well so far in my three months of ownership. I would recommend sizing up if you have wider feet, but outside of that small issue the boots are a winner in my book.

Been trying everything from trail runners to hiking boots, and always have knee pain due to meniscus surgery and metatarsal pain especially on pavement or downhill. So far I 've only hiked about 10 miles in these, but it's the first 10 miles without pain in years! Fit wise, I have low volume, long arch, c width feet with all the width at the toes. I sized my normal 11. 5D and while an 11 would have fit, the 11. 5 felt better. No issues with foot slip, no hot spots. Shoes are squishy, but return energy such that they do n't feel soft. Water resistant enough to splash through some light streams, and did really well in sandy conditions. I took this on my first trip to the western states and used them hiking in Estes State Park and Yellowstone, my legs were sore from the inclines and walking long before my feet ever where! They are extremely light weight making walking the inclines easier to go up. The waterproofing on them is fabulous to! I never had to worry about crossing small streams or pudles cause I could just walk through them.

I noticed great support on my ankles and heels and that after wearing these, feet did n't hurt one bit. The style is very mature and adventurous and can be matched with so many outfits. These are made very, very well and the laces also are thick and also they tie very easily. The quality was 100% thought out when this product was being made and designed. The soles are great with plenty of grip for slippery surfaces. It's definitely a perfect set of hiking boots.

They are also extremely wide and roomy. I like my shoes to fit a little more fitted, but I kept them because the color is absolutely beautiful. My only complaint is that I don ’ t care for the yellow trim color. I think Keen could have chosen something else that would have looked better, but that ’s just my own opinion.

Great casual hiking boot
