The Outdoor Research Helium Down Vest has become a daily part of my kit working at a ski area. The cut is definitely very athletic or snug, which does make it amazing for layering over. I ’ m normally somewhere between a large and extra large, the XL fits much closer to a large than a XL. I 'm not really a vest wearing kind of guy, but my son says this one looks great on me. The color gives Marty McFly vibes, but I like that. It contrasts nicely with dark greens, whites and blacks.

Works better than I imagined. Have used it daily for nearly 3 weeks now, and am ahead of my goals so far. Seems durable and comfortable. Can be adjusted for various body types and strength levels. Would recommend starting off with a small amount of weight, and building up over time, so not to risk stress or strain to your joints. Also, fill your lungs with air while strapping it on, that way you can still take deep breaths while working out.
