I have a small truck with a topper. Having bike pads between the gate and topper is a bit tight, and having roof racks on the topper is a bit high for loading and unloading, so these hitch racks are my preferred method. This one has no flaws that I 've come across and is easy to use. It is on the heavier side but I 'd prefer that not being sturdy enough. Fairly easy to setup if you get it shipped. It folds up nicely when not in use such that I do n't have to take it off. Definitely recommend.

My Jeep Gladiator has the option to place bikes over the tailgate, but when you are only 5' 5 '' this can be a challenge. As well, I recently purchased an electric bike that needed a rack to transport. The T2 Pro XTR is amazing. The ability to push up and out of the way when driving without bikes it convenient. And even more convenient, is the ability to tilt it down out of the way when opening the truck gate. It handles the weight of the ebikes with no problem, and keeps my ride looking lean and mean. [ Finally got tired of shoving my bike into the cab of my Jeep and bought the Yak SpareRide... could n't happier with the purchase. Install was simple and the fold- down feature is convenient. The ratchet clips are a little tricky at first but hold the bikes securely while driving. The locking mount knob is awesome and having a simple cable lock that is keyed- alike with the knob is so convenient. This is a great rack and is super easy to install. If you can remove your spare tire, you can install it with no problem. Works great for my 2023 Land Rover Defender, the middle length post is a perfect fit for the standard 22 inch rims. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that full suspension mountain bikes can require a bit of creativity to mount due to the SpareRide holding them at two points on the top tube and one point on the seat tube. Depending on the anatomy of your bike I can see this rack maybe not working, but for all other bikes you 'll be good to go.

I ’ ve had this rack for a few months, it stays on my car 100% of the time. Some of the negative reviews confuse me because I think the rack does exactly what it ’s designed to do. With any Thule defect issues I ’ ve had with any products, Thule has always stepped up and corrected the issue in a timely fashion, they just require proof of purchase. So far, I ’ ve only had to load 3 bikes, but it worked like a charm. I love the functionality of the swing arm, giving me access to my trunk while loaded with bikes. Our other car has the traditional Thule fold down rack. It works too except when we have bikes loaded. I would highly recommend this rack if the features meet your needs.

This rack is perfect. I could n't be happier. I also own a Vertex rack which is great for my bike but not for my wife's step through frame which is a pain to strap up. This solves that issue perfectly as it's held by the tires and not the top tube on the frame. It also eliminates the bikes banging together while traveling. One other thing I noticed is that I can see out of my rear view camera when backing up again as it's not blocked by the upright of the Vertex rack I had. I love that it does n't touch or scratch the frame when I bring my bike back dirty and probably the simplest installation I 've ever seen. My wife can toss her bike on quickly and easily.
