Our town in NH only allows fires of out size to be cooking fires before 5 pm. We decided to start cooking breakfast over the fire. We use this with a cast iron skillet and griddle to make all sorts of breakfast foods. This fits perfect over our fire pit and works exactly as expected. I 've been using my BBQ grill box with my Explorer for 10+ years. It has been used as an every- day grill, camping grill, party grill, baseball tournament grill, etc... very heavy usage. Zero issues. I estimate that I have prepared over 300 meals with it. The grill box has now worn out( the grate plate below the cooking surface finally rusted and broke through and is coming apart). So it's been 2 months and I 've been smoking like a mad Man. This was a replacement for an Oklahoma Joe's longhorn. I always smoked with pure oak and it was very difficult to control the temperature. This smoker is ridiculously simple. I 've done pulled pork, homemade pastrami, ribs, and brisket. I was also very pleasantly surprised about the Wi- Fi and wireless. I was able to check the temperatures when I had to go out somewhere just in case. This is for a long smoke on a brisket is pretty handy. I also purchased the sides seer which include a ridiculously large BTU burner. That burner has been phenomenal for searing sous vide steaks in under a minute. One thing I did not initially buy was the griddle, but I ordered that and with the sides here burner it is one of the handiest griddles I 've ever used, best temperature control over the whole area. I have a high- end gas stove in the house and it's griddle does n't come close to how good the temperature control is. My one recommendation is somehow that I do n't have to throw away that shelf and use it or mount it at the bottom. You can see that I made my own modification to put that shelf instead of throwing it away to mount on the bottom.

Long honest review here and I want to start this review off with this is my very first full sized griddle. I have always just used the Camp Chef Sidekick Griddle on the Woodwind Smoker. Before buying I put in my time researching and looking at reviews and I am so happy I went with The Gridiron 36. This thing is sturdy, easy to use, and just looks badass. I am about 2 months in and keep saying I ’ m glad I stuck with Camp Chef equipment. First it arrived in perfect condition and was easy to put together. Everything about it is fantastic. The lid is awesome and love how it ’s connected for easy on and off. The four burners and ignition is great and have not had a single issue. Extremely quiet when I turn it on. The shelves on the side are useful for everyday cooking and yes the one above the propane tank doesn ’ t fold down but that ’s okay I don ’ t fold them down to begin with even with the cover. Grease management is a breeze and love that it ’s in the front and easy access from underneath. I have the cover and griddle mat which I strongly suggest. IF you want some kind of critique or one thing I wish was different. I wish the line for the propane was not directly up front and in the rear, kind of hidden, but that ’s purely cosmetic and does not affect a thing. I ’ m over it already. My buddies have a popular competitor griddle and it just looks small and not as well built as the Gridiron 36. Next up is buying some of the magnetic attachments. After every cook I think I verbally say to my wife I ’ m glad I chose Camp Chef again!

I purchased. BB30 BBQ for my Pro 60 14 ” stove. After purchase I found that the BBQ would not close completely with the pizza stone inserted in the BBQ. The two tabs that secure the BBQ grate during transport provide an interference with the pizza stone. Without modification of the tabs, these two items are not compatible with one another. The modification was simple for me and I am now happy with my purchase, but not all buyers will have the ability to make them work together. Buyer beware. Camp Chef has been a part of my family for forty years- this is the first issue I have had with three stoves and many accessories.

This smoker adds the extra smoke I was looking for on my meat. I smoked a few pork butts and they all turned out amazing. The smoke ring was awesome. The meat was tender and juicy. The room in this smoker is twice the space I had on my MZG 24 smoker. The temperature stayed consistent and was always within 3- 5 degrees off set temperature. The vertical chamber is great for not losing heat. When I would open the lid to my MZG 24 smoker, the temperature would drop ten degrees or more. I do n't get but a couple degree drop when I open the door to the XXL Pro. Probably due to the vertical design. I would say the smoke box is also great addition to adding extra smoke at whatever level you desire. The Wi- Fi, blue tooth controller works well. I really like this smoker.

My XXL has been in use now for several months. There no significant issues with assembly. The door fits and swings well and easily. The temperature controller works as advertised. The smoke box does the job easily and neatly. Pork Butts, Pork Ribs, Chicken, Turkey, Beef of various cuts have all turned out delicious. It is supremely easy to use. The wheels make it easy to move around, thought the legs tend to vibrate and chatter a bit on uneven pavement. The pellet hopper is huge and easy to fill and monitor. Pro 14 two burner cooktop Went to our inaugural Halloween bike ride and one of the guys pulled out a older version of the Pro 14 two burner cooktop and griddle. I could n't believe how easily it setup, cleaned up and made a ton of food for every that came that day. It worked so well that my wife and I ordered one immediately to use on our own trips, gatherings and just some Sunday morning cookout fun. We also purchased the two burner griddle and griddle carrying bags for both the stove and griddle, so nice to keep everything neat and sorted. I 've only used it a couple of times so far but one thing i really noticed was how nice the burner control is, you can turn it down all the way and not worry about the burner flaming out. My only complaint which is minor is that the flip out red lid covers do n't sit completely flat like my friends did. Perhaps they will wear in with a bit more use.

If you use the velcro to secure it, even as loosely as they will go, it will ride up even higher. The velcro straps could also be a bit longer to avoid the cover riding up. If it rains, there's a good chance that the bottom shelf will still have a bunch of water on it. I 'm unsure what the straps and buckles are for on the top( they are not pictured on the site), if I connected those it would be even shorter. I 'm guessing they are for smaller grills, but not necessary on the WW Pro 24.

The cover does what it needs for the standard grill. Once you add the sidekick and a propane tank it gets really snug and does n't completely cover the grill to the ground anymore.

The Woodwind 36 came very well packaged and in great condition despite some outward appearance of rough handling on the packages. Inside was well protected. Assembly was easy, although instructure were wordless with pictures only. Just pay close atte tion to part shaded and the details of the diagram and you will be fine. I chose this model for the ability to flame grill if wanted. The first cook was using the Side Sear grill with some chicken breasts. Worked great and they were delicious. The first smoke was a brisket for some family in town and it turned out perfect. Tender and juicy, just like a pro. Great flavor and smoke ring and everyone wenst back for more. The next was pork butts for Carolina pulled pork. Again they turned out perfect. Great flavor, super tender, and easy to pull off with the app and the ability to set your time, smoke, and timer or desire internal temp. Very satisfied! Would highly recommend the Woodwind.

I replaced my 2- burner CampChef Weekender with the 3- burner Pro 90X and purchased this bag because I want to protect the new stove from the get- go. At first, I though that the bag was too small, but after getting the stove into the bag, it seems to fit very well. You do need to develop the knack of getting the stove in the bag, but after a couple times it goes very smoothly. There is a nice sleeve inside the top of the bag to hold the wind screen, which helps to keep it from causing or receiving damage. I have a two burner Camp Chef griddle( and bag) that fits this stove well. There is room for the grease drip tray in the top( handle section) of the bag. I wrap it in an old dish towel to keep if from receiving or causing damage. This seems to be a nice quality bag and fits the stove well.

[ I have owned Target, Pit Boss, and I own a Rec Tech. I can ’ t say anything bad about those pellet grills; I have cooked amazing food on all of them. But this Woodwind Pro 36, is next level, to be able to produce Bbq that tastes like it came off of an offset is unbelievable.
