I bought the UA Velociti Elite 2 after watching many reviews of the top carbon plated racing shoes. I am stoked that I did! I ordered it in a half size larger than my normal size because I have a wide foot. Perfect fit! The upper hugs the foot like a snug glove and the lock down is excellent. The midsole has a generous amount of cushioning but plenty of spring to propel you forward. I didn ’ t expect to like the outsole as much as traditional rubber. I love the reflectors all across. The only gripe I have is that these fit big in length and width. I have wide feet and am between a 7. 5 and 8. I got a 7. 5 in these, but they were a whole size too big and unfortunately they ran out of all sizes by the time I got these in the mail that I can ’ t make an exchange. It ’s so comfy that I will keep them and use for walking. I tried to tighten them up all the way and jog with them but my feet was moving around too much in them and I kept getting heel slippage. I ’ ve never tried a runners knot, but I will learn and try on these to see if they stay in place better that way for jogging because I want to see the ride in these that I predict would be nice for daily trainers and tempo runs. All I can say for now is that they are remarkably comfortable and feel very stable on the feet! Great quality too! I ’ ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I ’ ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100- 200 miles, and there isn ’ t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom( where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I ’ ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn ’ t be a problem.

Amazing shoe, fast and bouncy but not squishy. Relatively stable considering this is a racing shoe. I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes do n't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I do n't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.

When I first got these shoes I noticed they were so light that it made the box feel empty. My first run in them felt fast and smooth. The foam is firm which I like about them yet soft as they break in, truly softer than flash v1. The upper is really breathable and had no problem with laces or heel slips. So far these shoes are keeping up with my 12 year olds strength and conditioning camp and he has zero complaints. It ’s either the extremely light weight, or the carbon plate, or the rounded toe and heel, who knows, but they are Fast. My last two pairs of shoes have been the Adrenaline21 so this was a step forward for me( pun intended!). Instantly felt both familiar and comfortable. I love the colour way of Zephyr Blue Coconut- just the right amount of pop! It ’s going to take me just a bit to get used to the slightly different laces- they are flat and don ’ t have as much stretch in them as the 21s. I run 5 to 10km three times a week on flat roads and these shoes are feeling great- light and supportive.
