I bought this rod back in April for a June annual trip to the Nantucket Shoals. We use heavy lead to fish fluke at 100' or better there. I did not love this stick for fluke. On a whim, I gave it as shot locally on Long Island for jigging stripers with flutter spoons. I will say hands down this is an awesome rod for that use. Plenty of action in the rod. It bends perfect for fighting big stripers. I paired this with a 5. 3 Avet reel( not sold at Dicks) and it performed great.
