This is my third pair of Carhart's 6 '' Soft Toe Work Boot. I love them. They are tough, long lasting and comfortable. I use them for my everyday foot wear except dress occassions. I even take my daily four mile walk in them. I hike in them and hunt in them. For me, they are the best boot I have every owned in terms of quality. When properly maintained, they are water repellent. This would n't have been my third pair if I was n't completely sold on this Carhart product.

I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. I ’ ve been I some fairly deep water( nearly covering up the entire boot) and haven ’ t had any water go into these boots or the leather. All in all these boots have been a strong and sturdy boot for what I need them for. I ’ d recommend them highly since I haven ’ t had much issues with them besides the two mentioned and have found them super comfortable

here's how much i love these boots. for the last 2 decades they have been on a constant rotation: oldest to still- in- the- box. as the oldest worn- out pair rotate out into the garbage( after years), the next pair moves to oldest slot for really dirty work, and i open the box for the newest pair for general wear. as soon as that box is opened, i order the next box. so, i always have a ratty pair, a semi ratty pair, a new pair, and a boxed pair. they are everyday wear, work& non- work, on& off the motorcycle. highly recommend, obviously.

These are very comfortable, dry and warm. I have had these boots since 2001 and they are still holding up. I worked commercial construction and these have held up to walking and climbing up and down all day. Will wash them down and then apply mink oil paste to the leather. These hold up alot better than boots costing twice as much.

The Carhartt Ironwood boots fit exactly right, and are unexpectedly comfortable. The soles absorb shock and are comfortable all day. The insulation is just right too. My feet usually sweat in boots, but stayed very warm did not sweat in these. The only improvement I would make is to use something other than hiking boot laces. Because in retrospect, they are the best boot I have ever worn. I have done EVERYTHING in them. Camping, hiking, yard work, home remodeling, etc. Rain, sun, snow, it has not mattered. I love them so much i have pairs for work and everyday wear. I ’ ve worked for the Water company where i live and not really being “ water proof ” i still wore them and they would hold up for 6 months or so. I almost exclusively wear 8 ”- 10 ” work boots; it drives my wife nuts. I own many different brands and try to keep with US made products. This USA Georgia Boot Logger is built like a dang tank, but rides or feels like a Cadillac once broken in. The comfort core footbed is different for sure, but it is very comfortable. Because they ’ re multiple layers of leather, break in does take some time, but it ’s not terrible. I do own 3 pairs of this boot and rotate them out. They are high quality leather, although they are comfortable out of the box, they do get more and more comfortable as you wear them. I am on my feet all day everyday so I put some Dr. Scholl ’s insoles in them to make them that much better.( I also have flat feet) One pair last me about 3- 4 years. And that is wearing them literally almost 365 days a year. As a welder I tend to not like laces and these boots are perfect for a welder except if you are needed steel toe. I mainly bought this boot because it can be resoled and the reviews on Georgia boot were very positive. This is the first time I have bought Georgia boot. I have usually bought Ariat, Wolverine, Red Wings and Tony Lama. I am tired of buying good boots only to find out they are trash after the soles are worn off or the glue separating. These boots( Georgia Giant Wellingtons) can be resoled by a cobbler and should last a lifetime with proper care. After throwing away two pair of RedWing Boots because the soles are separating because they are glued and can not be resoled, I am now a Georgia Boot customer.

I expected a break- in period but these blacksmiths were comfortable out of the box. Soft but supportive and the fit was perfect for me. No chafing, roomy but not loose. The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. There isn ’ t a safety tow booth on the market that is more comfortable, good looking than this one. Yeah people love the moccasin toe, not I. I ’ m a round toe feller. These things are so comfortable. I almost took them to Europe on vacation as my only shoe because I can consistently walk over 12 hours a day on the job site. Note, you do have to break these in. Most comfortable boots I 've ever owned. I work in a warehouse and on my feet all day. I 've owned many other name brand boots and nothing compares to these. Only downside, my first pair only lasted 6 months before the sole came apart.

Unbelievable comfort. Second pair. I do have an issue with the loop pull on at the back of the boot, broke after less than 6 months. Dealing with the team at Carhartt to resolve.
