I used to run a lot when I was younger just getting out of college, but then I stopped a little because my legs would get sore easy. I started reading up on jumping rope as a comparative exercise that has the same, if not better, benefits as running in less time. I saw a some other jump ropes that were somewhat bland and cheap looking, and then came across the weighted rope. It's been working like a charm. It is a little tangly/tight initially because of the material, but after a couple uses, it's fine. I sweat a lot when I workout, so my hands sometimes get slick and the handles could use a little more grip. Hopefully once my body gets more acclimated, it wo n't be an issue.

I 've had this rope for 9 months( 3 months of heavy use), and it's still looking great!( Just a little fuzziness with normal wear and tear). I chose the large diameter, dry treatment, and 70m length for more durability and versatility, which has worked out great. It was easy to use right out of the package without too many twists. I 've washed it 3 times with water and once with rope wash, and the middle mark is still visible- maybe a little faded, but I do n't plan to re- mark it yet. I like the color as well- visible enough without being a jarring neon. I mostly climb single pitch sport routes with a grigri belay, but I 've also used it for multipitch, trad, and rappelling with an ATC, and it has worked well with all my other equipment.

We have been using this rope for over 2 years now, mostly on the east coast of Canada and US, in about every possible conditions except for snow. The dry treatment has been very effective in keeping the rope clean and avoiding to pick up too much debris. It feel great to handle and could be used by anyone. I would recommend to rope for its durability mostly, but on the other hand, it means it is on the heavy side, which makes it a little less pleasant to carry around.

This rope is light and durable. I mainly use mine for taller routes and multi pitch as mine is an 80m and I like the diameter of the rope as well at a 9. 4. It's not the lightest rope but I sill love it and do n't mind hauling it. I 'd recommend to beginners, intermediate and experts alike. It will get the job done and well. Just keep it flaked properly to avoid twisting.

[ I bought the 2x dry smoke maxim a couple weeks ago, and I absolutely love it. its been used on 6- 10 climbs since I bought it, and its extremely durable, it was dragged up a lot of sharp rock with no fuzz forming on the outer sheath. also for me its the perfect stiffness. I would recommend getting it if you want a super nice workhorse rope.

[ This rope lasted a good while getting beat up on roof climbs in NC. Maxim's sheath design is unique and performed well over its use. The 9. 9mm version of this rope does n't do a great job getting through a gri gri, but it will still look brand new after working your project all day. I would recommend this rope to be your long day multi- pitch and work horse rope that can take a beating.

[ Despite the fact that this rope is constructed of recycled ropes, it is a truly solid dynamic climbing rope, but still easy to manipulate/flake. The color scheme is awesome( to me, may not be to someone who likes more uniform color), and the price is right.

Catches whips like a dream, not too much stretch. Highly recommend! Wouldn ’ t recommend if you ’ re a sucker for colors, mine kinda looks like vomit, but I figure it ’ ll get dirty and nasty eventually anyway.

[ I bought this rope to use as a cordelette for building anchors at the top of trad climbs. It works really well and has excellent strength rating. I found the rope a little bit stiff when I first got it but it softened up with some usage. BTW I turned this rope into a cordelette by tying the ends together in a double fisherman's. Highly recommend. I would never lead a climb without a rope like this to string up in emergency scenarios.

Aside from the normal stress getting twists out that most new ropes give i am really impressed with the handling of this rope and how easily it feeds through belay devices. It still catches falls really nicely though. I have used this rope with a rope bag except on multipitches so i am surprised at how much dirt this rope has picked up. Although we did get caught in the rain once and it may have been a little damp on the next outing. I will give it a wash and evaluate further
