I have been around the world... I ’ ve seen different cultures, tried different lifestyles, I ’ ve reinvented myself more times than I can count. I ’ ve seen and done all of the best things that life can possibly offer, but this line right here tops it all. Ultra sensitivity to feel every bite and nibble, you can even feel the zooplankton when they take a chop at your Z- Man Chatter Bait. This brand stays clear even in the worst conditions. Rain or shine I can always count on Sunline. Thank you and goodnight San Francisco!

Best line I have ever used. strength, no memory, stealth, distance casting...... just replacing last years. no need to look anywhere else.

5 Jeremy
After using Spider wire EZ braid i was not impressed by Spider Wire at all. But after using this i fell in love, very strong and durable! After a fishing trip fighting 9 bass it held true and hardly lost the color like the EZ braid did. This is probaly not the greatest braid out there but for what i need it for it's amazing! Would recommend to anyone who fishes 1- 2 times a week.

5 Dtermnd1
I have tried almost every type of line Spiderwire makes and this is by far my favorite. Casting is among the farthest if used and the color is fantastic.

Best line on the market for the cost. Never had a problem

5 timbuk3
Fish a lot for Smallmouth in the local rivers. This stuff holds up great in 6 lb. on light equipment. It takes a lot of punishment and holds a knot. Never lost a hooked fish yet to breakage or slipping a tie. Good feel of everything.

5 Hawkin
I just noticed that no one has reviewed this fine line! I 've used it for a few seasons now for Lake Trout, Salmon and Walleyes and it is the best line I have ever used, and I 've used alot! It ties nice, does n't tangle when pulled off the reel, lays flat on the water and I 've caught some nice fish and lost less that one hand count over the years because of line failure. I 've had hooks pull right out of the lure but the knot and line held. I use 12 lb for salmon w/6 or 8 lb leader( same type as main line) and 17 lb for lake trout w/12 or 14 lb leader. I respool 8 rods every year and always did when I used Brand X but the results are definitely better with Trilene XT low vis monofilament.

Incredibly strong and a great price point! I ’ ve tried the 8lb( landed multiple fish over 4lbs without retying), 10( great for cranking) and 12- 20 mostly for moving baits or flipping. I also know pro angler Andy Montgomery loves this stuff. He was telling me all about it and showing me which setups he had the line on at a BPT event. So you know the pros actually use it! Great stuff!

I 've used Trilene line in the past but had never tried Big Game Green Fishing Line. I spooled- up my shore fishing reel with 15# line for use at the Outer Banks in N. Carolina. This line did not twist or kink and I could long- cast with ease. This stuff is strong without being stiff. May even consider spooling my Bass rigs with Big Game due to its toughness.

Berkely Big Game Fishing line is an extremely dependable product that has never let me down in many years of fishing in New England. The color green is a great all around color for Mass. salt water fish. It is my go to line for Striped Bass.....

5 Javier561
I 'm very happy with this product, I would like to recommend it

5 Bamajoe
Bought this to re- line an old reel. Made the reel feel like it was brand new. Casts very well. Great purchase.

5 Cperk11
I have used tons of different brands of fluorocarbon, mono, and braid, and the Berkeley big game is probably the best all around like there is. What's nice about it is that it does n't cost much, and they give you a ton of line on a role. I fish bass tournaments every week, and after every tournament i reline all 17 of my lews reels. I 've used the green color for awhile now, I recently found that they also make a brown berkley big game, and for here in Alabama, the brown that I 'm bout to start using is perfect considering all the dirty muddy waters we have. My only regret is that I ca n't find the brown anywhere except online, and Walmart is the only store that carries the brown that I 've found so far, but if u want a good all around line that will hold some 5- 10 lb bass 15- 20 Berkeley big game is the way to go. I go through about 1 roll of green 15 lb test and 1 roll of 20 lb test a week, and in that 2 rolls, I 've spent less than 15$ and I know by changing the line every week that I wo n't lose any fish.

Frequently Asked Questions For Fishing Line for Panfish

When targeting panfish, monofilament fishing lines are often recommended due to their ease of use and versatility. They provide good sensitivity and are less visible in the water, which can be beneficial for catching wary fish. Fluorocarbon lines are also a great option as they offer low visibility and excellent abrasion resistance, making them suitable for various fishing conditions.

Monofilament fishing lines are generally more forgiving and easier to handle, making them ideal for beginners. They have a bit more stretch, which can help absorb the shock of a fish strike. On the other hand, fluorocarbon lines are denser and sink faster, providing better sensitivity and a more natural presentation in the water, which can be advantageous when targeting panfish.

The strength of the fishing line for panfish typically ranges from 2 to 10 pounds test, depending on the size of the fish and the fishing conditions. Lighter lines are often preferred for panfish as they offer a more delicate presentation and reduce the chances of spooking the fish. However, it's important to consider the environment and potential snags when selecting the appropriate line strength.

When selecting fishing line for panfish, consider factors such as line visibility, strength, and stretch. The water clarity can influence whether to choose a clear monofilament or a low-visibility fluorocarbon line. Additionally, think about the type of fishing you will be doing, as certain lines perform better in specific conditions, such as still water or moving currents.

Yes, you can generally use the same fishing line for various types of panfish, such as bluegill, crappie, and perch. The key is to choose a line that balances strength and sensitivity, allowing you to effectively detect bites while still being able to handle the size of the fish. Adjustments may be needed based on specific fishing techniques or conditions.
