I used these for the first time yesterday, and they were outstanding. I spent seven hours wet- wading in Western North Carolina, and they felt more like a pair of slippers than wading shoes. I paired them with SIMMS quick- dry pants, and the combination worked great. My only quibble is the strap adjustment system. You can ’ t really fine- tune the straps while they ’ re on your feet. I had to put them on, take them off, wrestle with the straps, and repeat the process a few times before I got the heel locked in without slipping. Once dialed in, though, they were excellent — easy to slip on and off, and I never had to adjust them again.

[ I hike and walk my dog in the woods and I walk through rivers and streams a lot. I need shoes that: 1) Are supportive enough to actually hike in-- and 2) I can walk through and INTO muddy, rocky rivers and streams in( usually chasing my dog)-- and 3) Then keep hiking-- and 4) Have them dry overnight or faster so I can wear them again. It has been SOOO difficult to find these. `` Water Sandals '' are not supportive enough to hike in and THEY HURT, and are so open that all sorts of rocks and stones get into them and under your feet, and those rigid straps give me blisters. Standard `` waterproof '' shoes still let water in at the top if you actually submerge your feet-- and I do-- and get soaked from the inside out. And then take DAYS to dry. These shoes are closed with mesh( no rocks and stones getting in) and are MEANT TO GET WET and then dry quickly. And they actually are soft, and do n't give me blisters even without socks and everything gives me blisters!! WHY were these so hard to find? I would give 10 stars if I could, and have SERIOUSLY tried and tried to find shoes like these. You wo n't find them anywhere else( which I do n't understand).

[ Perfect for walking but not requiring socks. The curved sole bottom takes a little getting used to but it otherwise not negatively noticeable. The shoes are very light weight. The insole is removable for washing.

I just spent 3 weeks in the Bahamas with this sandal. It performed exceptionally well. I spent time at Atlantis water park, went on 4 fishing charter, scrambled on very jagged limestone reef, walked miles around Nassau, etc The sole is very sticky, even when wet. The sole is also very tough. I hiked on some very nasty, sharp, pointy, jagged limestone reef with no issues. I was very impressed with how well these performed.

Extremely comfortable, short break in time. When I bought these they fit almost snug, but after a couple months I started to notice my shoe was getting wider to the point where I could shift my foot around too much. The footbed has sunk. So after a year of still trying to wear these out they still have the same durability they had since new. I can take several mile hikes in these and they are still comfortable. So my complaints. They do not grip well in creek, river rock beds. I have to wash them constantly, like every other time I wear them because they burn my feet? I don ’ t know how to explain it but I ’ m sure it ’s from sweating. Buuuuut as a long time sandal wearer, I ’ ve never experienced this sensation. So I think they could be lighter. They are sandals after all. We wear sandals because we want to wear next to nothing. For this price I would expect a lighter sandal. Actually ALL KEENS could be lighter. A lighter less aggressive opened toe version of this sandal would be my dream sandal. I will be buying another pair unless I find my sole mate first

First things first, you will want to go up half a size. I have heard this many times snd it is true. I am a size 7 1/2 exactly and the 8 fits like a glove. The width is perfect for me and the comfort is amazing. Great with shorts or jeans, and perfect if you have to get your feet wet to “ retrieve ” your retriever. Also a great deck shoe on the boat. I was not payed or compensated for this review, but let ’s face it, I should have been!

Bought these for a trip down the Colorado river in the Grand Canton. The shoes were great for 6 days in the raft as well as river/creek walking and day hikes over serious rocks. I normally wear a 10. 5 and bought a 10 since I would not be wearing socks, and this was the right decision. The shoes were very comfortable, light, and durable. I highly recommend these shoes.
