[ I 've used this pole to hike Baden Powell, San Gorgonio, and San Jacinto peaks. So far so good. It does what I expect it to. Easy to use. I have n't used other poles before so I do n't know how this compares to others, but I 'm happy with it and hope to keep using it for a while. The only downside is that at its shortest length, it's not small enough to fit in my pack( versus a foldable pole) but that's not an issue for me since I can still attach it to the outside of my pack.

These trekking poles performed very well. I have used them on numerous hikes, to include the lower half, or non- technical part of the climb of Mt. Rainier. They stowed well when and survived the abuse of being strapped to the outside of my pack for the rest of the climb. I also used them on the rim- to- rim hike of the Grand Canyon. Make sure you purchase the appropriate baskets for the hike on which you intend to use them. Also, check the friction locks before you head out on your first hike. They may need slight dialing in, or tightening with a standard Phillips screwdriver. Quality Black Diamond gear as always.

Some of the adjustment clasps were difficult to close, but once I wrangled them, the poles stayed put and did n't shrink or expand without my consent.( I 've borrowed poles that shrank when I leaned on them.) I want to thank Leki for these great Cressida Cork Lite poles which they provided to me at no cost in fulfillment of a warranty for another pair/different model that had a defect. These poles are sturdy and light and give me confidence on the trail, even on steep inclines or descents. It's very easy to change the length of the poles as needed and I like the women- specific sizing since I am on the petite side and do n't need more pole length than necessary. The cork grip is very comfortable! I was n't sure how I would feel about a cork grip since I was previously used to a foam grip, but I think there's actually more stability and palm to pole contact with a cork grip. I am also not used to aluminum, which is indeed stiffer than carbon, but I think it's worth it to choose aluminum for Leki's great warranty. Leki stands behind its products and I will only buy Leki poles from now on. Thank you!

Very nice poles! Have used them on some big mile days and the grips are superbly comfortable and I really like the minimalist straps. The fit/finish is excellent and no slipping from the locking mechanisms so far. Only issue I can find is that they feel somewhat flexy and do have a slight bit of vibration that you can feel during use as compared to the set of carbon poles I replaced these with. Minor things overall and they don ’ t seem to hinder the poles performance in the slightest. Overall very satisfied and a nice set of poles.

These are premier. While this is my first set I am impressed. I am 6'- 4 '' and was concerned with the height being what was needed. As I unpacked them and adjusted them out they did not come near maxing out in order to fit me. Also, the locks are secure I am not sure what it would take for them to slip. I 'm very happy with this purchase. The only recommendation for improvement I can make is that the cork handles come unsealed. Since these are going to be used heavily in a wide range of weather conditions, from the hot Arizona sun, Monsoon rains, and even snow, I felt it essential to seal the cork to ensure the handles hold up to the use I plan on giving them. I recommend UV- 40 cork seal. I have used it on fly rod handles I have made and it works perfectly, and lasts many, many years. Make sure to follow the application instructions on the bottle. Apply one good coat using a bristle brush. Make sure you do n't have any drips, runs or sags. Do not apply a second coat, as it will not penetrate.

Literally used these poles for the entirety of the Appalachian Trail. Tips were worn by the end but that's usual for a 2200 mile journey. The fact the price is so good for the durability is great. One downside( and thats just because its carbon fiber) is they can snap easier. Had that happen to me a couple years ago when I crossed a stream, jammed it between rocks and slipped on it. But considering they survived 2200 miles means they are great as long as the user doesnt do something stupid.

I 've had these trekking poles for over 3 years now and they 've performed at the same level as my more expensive poles. I originally got them as a backup to my Black Diamond trekking poles that I 've had for 12+ years as I got tired of having to change out the boots when I alternated from concrete to gravel trail, which is how I use the poles most of the time. In 2021 I took these on a 5 day hiking trip in Olympic National Forest and they were great! The flip lock mechanism makes it very easy to collapse and expand the poles as they went in and out of my daypack. Since then I 've used them seasonally on trips to Colorado or just the local gravel trails when it's not too hot. For the most part I do n't really collapse them- they stay expanded in my garage, ready for use. Another review mentioned these making a noise- I have n't experience that ever. The cork grip is great if you have a smaller hand. My only complaint is on the straps, which there is a limit on how small you can tighten them due to the stitched felt padding.

We hike several times a week and go ~10 miles each time. These poles are never not in my hands. They have saved me from serious injury on several occasions. I have neuropathy in my left leg/foot that causes drop foot. I took a fall going down a cliff and the poles caught on a tree and stopped my fall. I had broken ribs, wrist and thumb, but it would have been worse if I hadn ’ t had the poles. Amazingly, the pole was still working perfectly and I still use today! We decided to purchase an additional set for each of us a couple years ago, and interchange using the sets. Couples we hike with also have Cascade poles, which speaks highly on the quality of the product! We have decided to purchase 2 more sets so we can keep a set for each of us at our 2nd home. Bought this as a Christmas present for my son. Dicks employees loaded it into my truck and I hid it in garage until Christmas — I had my older son help me bring the backboard in on Christmas Eve night and left the other boxes in garage. I just now got around to installing it because we live in Michigan and ground is just now thawed and dry enough to pour concrete. Instructions were great and there are really good videos on YouTube. I actually assembled the pole myself on sawhorses and had my older son and a friend help install the pole onto the bracket that was placed in cement the week prior. The next day I had two friends join me to hoist the 60 inch backboard to pole from the back of my pickup truck. Everything went smoothly and me and the boys were draining shots the rest of the day. Have gotten many compliments from neighbors on the look. I love the durability, look, and sturdiness. 5/5 stars. Took 13 bags of 80 pound qwikcrete but I did a bit larger cement cap. See pics!

We 've been using this goal for around a month, and it is top- notch compared to the portable hoop with the polycarbonate backboard. We installed it ourselves, and it's not hard at all. If you 're able to dig a hole and mix concrete, that's the hardest part( labor). I recommend using the Sakrete Maximizer Concrete Mix from Lowes. It goes farther, mixes easer and is a higher strength concrete. We dug a hole 36 '' deep and 24 '' square, and it took 9 bags. Build your own concrete form out of 2X4s, and make sure the form is level on the ground before you pour. When putting the goal together, the instructions are clear, and the hardware is packaged so it's easy to find. You 'll need at least 2 people to stand the pole up, and if you can get 3 to hang the backboard, your day will be easier. We backed a truck up close to the pole and stood on the bed instead of using ladders, which made hanging the backboard way easier. The hoop is sturdy with minimal wobble between shots. The rim is unforgiving, which I like, as I feel it will make the kids better shooters. The backboard is tempered glass, so it reacts the same as backboards in the gyms. These usually go on sale for almost half price around Christmas, so if you can wait until that time you will save money.

So far so good! Clearly digging the necessary 16x16x36 hole isn ’ t the most enjoyable thing to do on a Friday afternoon. After waiting our time, the installation of the rest was simple. We put together the post and put it up( me and 15 yo) and borrowed a truck to install the backboard. SO MUCH EASIER! I ’ d suggest renting the Lowe ’s truck for$ 20 if you don ’ t have access to one readily. We cranked the arms all the way down so there wasn ’ t any lifting just holding the backboard at waist height to get the last bolts through. Kids love it, ended up buying the post light attachment within a few weeks so will review that soon after installation and some use!
