I got the super line scissors about a year ago and found they work great on mono and 50lb. braid and OK on 30lb. braid. Just got a new one for my salt water tackle bag and noticed the cutting edges are different. The new ones work great on everything.

I watched lots of videos, and read lots of reviews. I 'm no expert by any definition in the area of multitools. Mine arrived nicely boxed, and I was pleased with the heft and feel of the tool in my hand. Edged tools came razor sharp. Easy to open and close tools. The fine, needle- nosed pincers are my favorite tool- teeth fit together perfectly. Bits are all appropriate, although I may swap out a few- easy to do with the millions of available bits in that size. Nice sheath, belt loop, attachment points. I really like the stonewash finish. No aspect disappointing. Maybe there are better/worse tools( all subjective), but you wo n't be second- guessing yourself if you buy this SOG beauty!

These pliers are awesome for cheap aluminum pliers. They have ss plates where the teeth are so you don ’ t run into the messing up the teeth problem you get with other aluminum pliers. The line cutter works great even with braided lines that can give you trouble with other pliers. The locking mechanism is also really good and works better than the locking system on other pliers if they even have one.

I like that this one got rid of the seatbelt cutter which on my old one just got stuff and didn ’ t open smoothly, plus they ’ re shears.. just cut the seatbelt. The polished metal isn ’ t my favorite but I think it makes the shears glide much smoother so it ’s a change I can get used to. Also these cut through clothes like butter, I just bunch everything up and cut it without any problem or strain to my hand. Definitely recommend this over the other raptors or even if you ’ re thinking of upgrading! My rating for 4 stars has to do with its bulkiness, despite ridding the seatbelt cutter, it ’s really not much “ skinnier ” than the last raptors.
