[ The Nike Cortez shoes are a great everyday shoe that looks great and feels great. The shoes have a great retro look with the large Nike logos and great upper shoe style. I normally wear shoes that don ’ t stand out, but these shoes with their bright white leather, shiny Nike logos, and blue trim along the bottom make me proud to wear a shoe that does stand out. I feel instantly younger wearing these cool looking shoes. The fit of the shoes is very comfortable. They are surprisingly roomy in the toe box even though they look slender in this area. I ’ ve worn them all day, but primarily on days where I ’ m not on my feet all day. I suspect they wouldn ’ t be comfortable if I was on my feet all day such as at a theme park or a zoo. I suspect this based on the arch support being slightly less than I would like, and the midsole cushion not being quite as cushiony as I would like for a day completely on my feet on pavement. With that said, these shoes are still very comfortable to wear for your typical day. They are not too hot, which was a concern since they have completely leather uppers. The shoe interior is well cushioned and didn ’ t create any rubs on my foot. The heel feels slightly loose, but not to the point where it feels like your heel is sliding around or going to get a blister. I felt well supported in these shoes, and the tread seems to have great grip. I ’ m very pleased with these shoes and would recommend them to anyone looking for a hip new athletic casual shoe to wear. They have great style and also great comfort. The retro tread style reminds me of something my grandparents wore, but in a way that doesn ’ t make me feel old, but instead trendy. The only thing I would maybe change is the tread pattern. It provides fantastic grip, but it also appears to have great grip for keeping mud in the tread. I will need to make sure I wear these on dry days or pavement to prevent mud for getting stuck in the tread grooves. That is a minor annoyance, and all in all I think these are great shoes. Well done Nike!

I appreciate the rear foot stability provided by the deep snug heel counter. I got a great fit by removing the insoles to insert my custom full length foot orthotics. A few triangles of synthetic material seem to be somewhat breathable. The forefoot is flexible and roomy, for the balls of the feet and the toes. Good ground feel and ‘ touch ’. They have a cool classic look. These days in Nike, I am either a Men ’s 11 or 11. 5 Medium. The 11. 5 is just right- with thin socks, like the Nike Spark socks.

Insanely soft cushioning and the leather is really nice quality( although there is n't much of it on the shoe. You definitely have to size up. Not sure if 1/2 or full size up is better, but I had to go full since there is no 13. 5. It runs slightly small, but I think ultimately you have to size up because the build of the shoe pushes your foot down forward into the toe( I 've had similar experiences with 270s).

I never leave reviews, but these shoes deserve one. I got the Nike V5 RNR “ Denim ” and instantly fell in love with the style. The denim+ retro runner vibe is gorgggg. These are the kind of kicks that make you wan na plan your outfit around them. Fit: So here ’s the deal — I usually go up half a size in certain Nike shoes. My usual size( 7. 5W) was all that was left, so I grabbed it. While they don ’ t run small exactly, I do think a half- size up might ’ ve felt even better for me personally. If you ’ re in between sizes or like a bit more wiggle room, I ’ d say try going up half a size. Comfort: Haven ’ t fully broken them in yet, but they already feel pretty solid. Will update if anything changes once I ’ ve worn them all day, but so far, so good. Style/Looks: These are a statement shoe. The denim gives them a whole vibe that stands out in the best way. They ’ re super versatile too — easy to dress up or down. Overall: Definitely keeping them. No regrets. Would I have liked to try a half- size bigger? Yes. Do I still love them? Absolutely.

I tend to have a hard time cleaning up fabric stains on shoes. If I could change anything, the opening of the shoe was narrow, so it was not as easy to slide on and off. But I love the textured bottoms — and would definitely buy this style in other colors.

Great shoe. Very comfortable and easy to wear. Didn ’ t have to break them in. These would be great for the gym on weight training days. The only down side to them was the toe box got creased a lot on the first day of wearing them and started showing signs of wear immediately but I will be buying a brew more pairs.
