I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

[ I have hiked 1000's of miles on Asolo boots over the years and had many models. This one runs a tad bigger ue I have always been a 10 in the boot line so I would say it fits more like a 10. 5 but comfortable. Very rigid sole, which I look for in a boot and slightly on the heavier side, which does n't bother me. I did see where someone complained about a stitching clustster were the toungue is sewn together amd that was rather uncomfortable as it sat directly beneath one of the lace locks. I took a pair of flat nose pliers to the material wad.. for lack of a better term.. lol and worked it over a bit w the pliers squeezing and turning wo tearing it! So do n't go to crazy just cruah it down and it solved that problem rather easily. Great boot. Fit is larger. Crush the extra material to soften it.

The first pair I bought myself in 2014, side by side with their replacement that just arrived today. Pulled them out of the box and it was like meeting an old friend that hasn ’ t changed a bit. The fit and feel, perfection. Now, I literally hiked the soles off of the old pair. The toes cracked. Laces frayed but original. Should I have replaced them awhile ago- I did with the charcoal version. But kept these in my closet as a remembrance of my first pair of hikers that took me through the PCT AT. They wear well, almost zero break in, and the scars just as character. Thanks Asolo for a great boot and for keeping a classic, an unchanged classic.

I have been buying the breeze boot for about 20 years now. I would agree that the laces need to be a bit longer so you can double tie them. On zappos web site they advertise that the 7742 has gore tex lining and vibram soles, you might want to check on that one. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

I love this shoe for it's stability and outdoor- ability. I do a lot of walking, training and working outdoors, and need a shoe with fantastic support and stability due to a previous foot injury. The SFB is the bomb- totally fits the bill. It has a wide platform, is supportive but flexible once worn a couple of times and it's easy to clean. I have had some trouble with the rear of the shoe wearing out, and they are 'slick' before you wear them in, but these are minor things.

They 're tough, take a beating, and look cool too. You should go a half size up for a good fit as these do run a bit small. I have a wider foot, which this shoe accommodates perfectly. I 've only done a 9 mile hike so far but this `` Hiking Sneaker '' can handle it. I hiked over some very jagged rocks, mud, and even snow and it handled it like it was nothing as the high ankle support and decently grippy traction held up very well. I expected some damage to the outsole afterwards as I was stepping on rocks at sharp angles but to my surprise they held up. It's definitely gotten dirty by now but I got the beige colorway so it kind of blends in. The upper of this hiking sneaker is definitely much tighter and it hurt a bit when I started my hike but keep in mind I have flat feet and other reviews of this sneaker say that you need to break it in which was true later on in my hike as they did n't hurt at all. This shoe is definitely for me as I 'm not a serious hiker, I chose this shoe because I liked the looks of it and wanted a more serious shoe outside of my Ultraboost ATRs which are more focused for trails rather than hiking. I plan on taking this on many more hikes though.

I wore these walking around the Thursday round of the US Open at Oakmont. 20k hilly steps. Damp rough. My feet stayed dry and did not hurt at the end of the day. These passed their first Major( hah) test with flying colors.

I bought these shoes because i couldnt find a pair of cleats to wear for paintball games, they grip great and are much more comfy and forgiving on the body then cleats are. Highly recommend for exterior grip in wet/dry conditions.

Let me tell youuuuuu these do feel like your walking on a cloud. I am so happy that I went with these sneakers. You do need to go half a size like it says. I am a 7. 5 the 8 is perfect. Wear thin socks not thick so you have room for your feet. I know my feet will get adjusted to them which I am looking forward too. I say yes to it ’s worth the buy.
