[ I like how this pack fits and holds my water and extra stuff. I realized to make sure it did not bounce during my run I had to tighten the side and front straps, so it was snug around my body. The bladder holds plenty of water and the two front pockets were just enough to hold my snack and phone/keys. I noticed when I was cleaning the bladder that I had to tighten the hose to bladder to make sure it was secure and did not leak. Since I just started running, it is nice to have the additional water and storage, I feel like I it is my own personal run buddy.

Nice size for my 9 year old son. He used it on our trip and the water capacity is large enough so that he never was thirsty on our hikes. Bought the Dromlite 4L to go with my gravity flow 2L filter system. Does exactly what its supposed to do in an ultralight package! It is so convenient to have a bladder to fill at camp and then not worry about getting more water that day. I 've been purchasing Camelbak packs going on 16 years and now have at least one designated to each activity I do; running, MTB, Cycling, Hiking, and working outside. I would say I still love the fit and durability of each different style I have( the one I use for working outside is the first Rogue I purchased in 2008), and I 'm really happy Camelbak finally upgraded the bite valve design, but the added magnetic clip placement still needs a more permanent home to affix to on the shoulder strap or chest strap, or something. When the only place to affix it to is somewhere along the adjustable side of the chest strap it's just never in a constant place to mindlessly clip it back in. Otherwise, I 'm still a loyal and satisfied user.

Completed the Everest Base Camp Trek a few weeks ago. Out of 8 people in our group there were 5 of us wearing Osprey packs. I had the Scarab 30 and loved it. We hiked in sun and rain, hot and cold, through wood and over rock fields. This pack was on my back every day every step of the way. The bladder was full with an extra bottle of water on the side at the waist belt and the bag was full with essentials for weather swap outs and everything i needed to get from A to B and survive without my big duffel. It never chafed my shoulders or waist, felt great on my back and did n't sweat me up by allowing air to flow around it. It was exactly the right choice. The design of the bladder makes it very easy to fill and shove back in its home. the only thing i would change or add would be a cover over the drinking port. We were dropping our packs in a lot of places, on trails in Tea houses, coffee houses and different temples, everywhere and the drinking port always ended up on the ground. Would of been nice to have some sort of cover.

[ I got this pack for longer day hikes, and specifically for an upcoming trip. Have n't used it for said trip yet, but have used it on local hikes to get a good feel for it and it checks all my boxes. It's uncomplicated( just one main compartment with some exterior storage) and I love the padded hipbelt. Also like the fact that there's compatibility for a water bladder. The side pockets stretch enough to accommodate the large nalgene, and there's a small zipper compartment at top for keys, wallet, etc.

The variety of pockets are perfect for storing just about anything you want to carry and the trekking poles storage was real selling point. Even my phone fits perfectly in the convenient storage pouch on the front shoulder straps which other brands did n't even come close! I tried so many different bags from various brands and found this to be the most comfortable and a great value for the price. I love my Big Agnes 32L pack for long trips abroad but sometimes you need a smaller pack for hikes, light travel, etc. This Osprey fills the bill and I am very impressed with the design. They are well known for the quality and it is obvious in this pack.

This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

I bought this for my kids for travel( 9yo& 11yo boys), so they could carry a water bottle, sunglasses, deck of cards, etc. I may borrow it from them on occasion, since it ’s more functional than my Osprey Daylite sling. Love that it fits a 24oz Stanley Aerolight comfortably, while still being able to accommodate all the essentials. I tested it out with 24oz insulated bottle, medium wallet, keys, sunglasses in hard case, sunscreen, 1st aid kit, brush, hand sanitizer, chapstick, AirPods, packable grocery bag& phone. It also fits a 1. 5liter hydration pack for hiking, although I didn ’ t test it filled, but seemed to still have good capacity. If you need to loosen the strap, the mesh pocket( which fits an iPhone 11Pro in silicon case) shifts pretty high on your shoulder, so becomes more awkward to access while wearing. The strap can switch to either side, so my lefty kids can switch to their preferred side. My only recommendations, the key leash could be a little longer& the “ secure ” inside pocket is hard to get my medium sized wallet in/out. A zipper that went end to end would be easier with maybe a clip& loop to secure it. I like the external clip that secures both the water bottle from falling out and the front zippered pocket from theft. We ’ ll be road testing this in a few weeks at Yellowstone hiking.

[ Got it in blue. It's a really good looking shade of blue, and the pack itself it well constructed with a good number of features. Personally I do n't like the Osprey trekking pole loop design and I would rather have loops on the outside of the packs for carrying poles when I do n't use them. I 'd also prefer mesh pouch rather than the zip down the middle. These are n't big deals though because I knew of them when I bought the pack, so that advice goes to anyone looking at this pack. Research the features before you pull the trigger.

Have n't used it for biking or commuting yet but it's definitely built right for that use case. If you 're looking for a solid multi purpose pack- look no further. The only minor downside to this pack is that the bottle holders are not designed in a way to fit larger bottles like my 40oz hydroflask. But that's really just an inconvenience more than anything.

Pack is large enough to carry everything I could need for a day out or even overnight in a hotel or friends house and still have space to carry creature comforts. The bag itself is a little heavier then some but still lighter then others and carries the weight well so that it's not really an issue. it packs well and stays tight together when riding and does n't shift weight when cornering regardless of how much you keep in it.
