This is the second Selkirk vanguard paddle. My first was the Invikta version of the Vanguard Power Air that did work for me even though I tried very hard to get used to it. Silkirk has been very gracious to allow my to exchange the paddle for the S2 version. I noticed from the very first three hits I made with the S2 paddle that it was going to be just right. It feels balanced in my hand, it provides good power that is well controllable and produces the spin I am looking for. I modified my old paddle to make it work for me but this one is just right as it is. I am pleasantly surprised that is is just right for me. I can not understand how there can be so much difference between the Invikta and the S2 of the same paddle????

But when I tried a demo of the Airbender 16 at my local club, I knew I had found my paddle. Played with a SLK hybrid for 1. 5 years and always had the Luxx Control Air Invicta on my radar as my next paddle upgrade. Finally purchased when the price came down, and I 'm sorry I waited. I felt like progress stagnated with the SLK, but I 'm making slow but steady progress with the LCA Invicta. Nothing earth shattering, but expecting to be transformed by a paddle upgrade is wishful thinking. I 'm playing better, making progress and feeling better about my game.

I 've also been told that when I use a slice backhand( I typically use a two hand topspin backhand), my opponents have a harder time clearing that shot. However, I notice that when I try to put away a high dink, there's this paddle does n't give much of a pop like other paddles I 've had in the past. For my game, though, I need more control than power so this really works for me. I notice that I can do better third- shots and topspin drives with this paddle. This paddle is also great at dinking. I come from an aggressive tennis background so this paddle really improved my game. If you 're on the fence about investing in this paddle, I recommend it if you come from a tennis background and need more control than power in your game.

I have used a couple of expensive paddles and this one feels a lot better when you hit the ball. The grip is super comfortable and is a little bit longer, making it easier to use a backhand. Because the paddle is a tad rougher, it makes for a great top/back spin. The core density provides a solid hit.

I finally got to play with this paddle after it arrived two weeks ago. This thing is awesome. Very light weight yet sturdy when you hit the ball. This has a sweet spot all over and I have yet to find a dead spot. All the other players took turns use the paddle. They were all amazed what a difference this makes versus a beginner paddle.

New to pickle, over the past 2- 3 months. Played with your run of the mill 2- pack paddle. Upgraded to this bad boy…and let me tell you, it is epic! I ’ m a newb, but love it. No idea about what type of fancy features you ’ re looking for but…it is light, slaps hard, moves fast through the air. Longer handle might take a little bit to get used to but overall I feel like I will play even better with this puppy. Enjoy!
