[ When I received the Arctic Crest jacket I was at first a little concerned that it would n't be very warm because it was so lightweight. After wearing the jacket for a few weeks during winter in northern New England my worries were laid to rest. This jacket fits just right and is incredibly warm. I feel like the new Omni Heat Artic even works when its cloudy or getting dark. The hood on the Artic Crest has what may be the best fit of any jacket I have ever owned. Good winter and low temp jacket. Its longer and a tad baggy/active since its made for riding, so take your normal size and layer underneath for really cold days. It's super comfortable and will keep you warm and dry. Hood is definitely a little too Raph, it's made for riding with a helmet on, so its too big for casual wear but I knew that would be the case for any snowboard jacket so it does n't bother me.

Simply the best jacket. Super light weight, I never have to worry about sacrificing weight for comfort. I just throw it in my bag now and do n't even think about it. It washes quite well too, as I run it through the ringer at work and camping. The down has not had a problem after about 45 washes with wool balls on regular temps. It's not water proof, but for light rains I have not had to throw on a rain jacket and have not felt that it was damp after.

This is a nice jacket—super versatile. I use it for night walks around the neighborhood and camping trips to the desert. It keeps me warm even on really cold nights. Love this jacket. I was worried about the reports that it's `` short '' I 'm 5' 9 '' with a longer torso and short legs( 30 - 32 inseam) and the jacket came to just below my belt line. It's definitely a jacket for car camping, walks around town, etc. This IS N'T a summit series jacket and is defiantly not built as a belay jacket which I think some get confused. For me, after hitting the slopes and a bit sweaty, I pull this out of my pack, fluff it up( it folds into its own pocket and packs very small) and put it on going in and out of the lodge before the sweat get cold and drops my body temp.

The Ghost Whisper UL has become a key piece of layering gear for mountaineering, hikes, and just around town. Super light, comfortable, warm, and stylish. Checks all the boxes. Awesome piece of gear. It ’s lighter than a mouse fart, but warm as a Marshall pufffy combined. This jacket was purchased with climbing Kilimanjaro in mind and will be bringing it with in January. The only other puffy that compares is the whisperer/2 which trades a little down loft for a slightly tougher shell fabric.

This is my dream super light down jacket and I wear it more than any other during the colder months. I thought the Ghost Whisperer was good until I got one of these and now I only wear the UL. It's so light it almost feels like you 're not wearing anything, and at the same time its seems much warmer than similar jackets that are heavier. Have worn in temps ranging from mid 30s to mid 40s and have been warm with just a cotton long sleeve under it. Love the stretch of the durable fabric and the matte green color. Keeps me warm in the 30s easily with just a normal shirt and a sweater. With real layers I have been able to walk approx 30 minutes round trip in the low 20s and strong winds. It ’s very warm and also gives you that psychological warmth boost of a fat, cozy puffer. The length is just right if you need a big outermost layer but don ’ t want a full parka length. I am normally between S and M for most things and a S easily fits me even with a chunky sweater. The two internal mesh pockets are clutch.

Recently bought this Fuego Down vest for some hiking in Colorado in April 2024. Chilly mornings for some 5 - 6 mile hikes near waterfalls and creeks with some remaining snow. Pretty snazzy hoodie to be honest with you. It's light weight, moderately warm( even warmer when being active), and looks good. The hoodie does look a little boxy/bulky, but that does n't bother me. The camo print is really nice too, it does n't give off tacti - cool bro vibes. The one slight downside I will say is that the material is noisy, so be aware of that.

I 'm not really a vest wearing kind of guy, but my son says this one looks great on me. The color gives Marty McFly vibes, but I like that. It contrasts nicely with dark greens, whites and blacks.

I received my men's small Ghost Whispered 2 vest today. Weight is 5. 1oz. It's the same fine quality of my Ghost Whisperer 2 sweater that weighs 8. 0 oz. They are roomy enough for layers under and the most packable layers that I own. Kudos to MH for a home run.

[ fit is as expected and it will be used for fall and spring in NY for my son who is in High School and apparently jackets are optional except for those which can be stuffe dinto his knapsack. This jacket( when crushed into a ball by noted son) is really small and the warmth vs. weight is excellent. Recommended by parent of moody teenager. ONLY concern is that the shell of the jacket is really thin, so the likelihood of a tear is there. We will see...
