Great alternative to a pannier bag. I actually got the pannier and tote and this backpack to exchange daily based on needs( commute, errands, etc). I give the whole system at 6 out of 5 stars. The backpack itself I wish were a little more full featured, but still worth 5 stars because it doesn ’ t have any hardware on the bag itself. That being said, it ’s low profile and barebones with a laptop sleeve and outside pocket. It holds my laptop, notebook, three water/coffee/smoothie bottles, a raincoat and has room to spare. The waterproof zipper is essential but tough to use frequently due to the curvature of the pack. LOVE the magnetic flap top for fair weather and extra protection when used with the zipper. Haven ’ t tested it in a true downpour but feel comfortable putting my laptop in there when the afternoon storms are brewing. All in all a great system and a good pack. Despite being basic, I love being able to pull out the backpack straps during the day, and not have any hardware on the pack itself. I was leery to purchase without reviews, but the InLock system is fantastic and I ’ m glad I went for it.

I purchased my foldsack because I have a High Coast 18 that I absolutely adore but needed a rest. When I saw this pack for the first time, I knew I had to have it! The first thing that I gravitated towards was the zipper closure combined with the fold over hook. Which was a great feature because I use my pack for just about everything so this comes in handy if I fill my pack to the brim and need extra security. It is waterproof and Eco friendly... game changer! I am 5' 2 so I thought it would look huge on my back but it looks similar to my 18L. I am in love with all the color options but I chose Rowan Red which is close to a deep orange. I 'll still take my High Coast 18 on treks but this High Coast Foldsack 24 is riding shotgun from now on.

This backpack is well proportioned and has all of the right amount of pockets for storage of all sizes of items for your journey. It is also comfortable to wear which is a must. My only complaints are two minor things. First, the bottom zipper where the sleeping bag goes can get stuck easily on the zipper guard/overhang. Second, the padding on the waistline can soak up a lot of sweat. But overall a great backpack and looks cool too. I will keep it for years to come.

I bought this bag to use on a weekend hike on the AT with my thru hiking son. The bag served it ’s purpose. I was able to carry everything I needed easily in the main compartment and brain. The zip pockets on the outside are pretty useless once the main compartment is filled. Same with the water bladder. I did not use it. For the money though it ’s a good bag. It was comfortable on two 10 mile days from McAfee Knob trailhead to Daleville, VA. My torso measurement was 18 and I used the small setting on the adjuster. I tried the medium setting but the shoulder straps did not lay correctly on my back.

Purchased to use instead of a Lew's slingpack. Positives: storage for 2 3700 packs plus the front pocket allows for storing soft plastics. Good value at the clearance price. Front waterproof pocket allows to store my phone. There are 2 clear pockets inside that I 'm using to store partial reels of line. Negatives: The Lew's had 2 mesh pockets on the side to allow for storage of tools. There is a velcro flap on the strap that I 'm using for storing a set of pliers but no option for line cutters or other small tools. Overall: I 'm happy with the quality of the pack. Gives my more overall storage compared to the Lew's. Definitely would recommend at the clearance price. Would n't purchase at the original price.

I got this bag in black. The DSG Ultimate backpack 4. 0 is a very useful and functional bag, and it is light without any items in it. There are big and small pockets inside and outside of the backpack. I can easily fit in my 13 ” MacBook Pro in the laptop slot. It won ’ t be a problem to fit in a 15 ” MacBook too. Both sides of the backpack have the water bottle slot as compared to others that usually have one. There is a small compartment on the outside upper backpack that is lined and padded, can be used to put mobile phone. The straps of the backpack are padded for comfortability on the shoulders. I have been shopping for a backpack for a few months now, reading all the reviews. I was n't quite sure what I wanted, so I ended up ordering a few different ones. This 45 L pathway 2 backpack is likely my favorite in a lot of ways. The waist strap is great with good cushioning, preferable imo to the current sytle of thin straps. The chest strap is nice too, adjustable height. The layout of pockets is pretty much spot on on this bag, I could n't ask for a better design. Even compared to more expensive brands. Super happy with this and have purchased a second. Will continue to look at high sierra in the future.

We use light gear, but definitely not all ultralight ultra compact gear. Durability is not a concern. I have a larger 80L pack and am considering getting this same pack for a more compact carry. I would say this pack could fit the bill for beginners and advanced users alike.

[ I highly recommend this bad and Thule brand after using this product. Thule Paramount 27L Backpack is perfect for someone who travels. I am realy surprised with this bag. I travel a lot have lots of bags and stroller bag at my home( at least 3 for each member of my family of 4) but I have never used anything like this. It is 3 kg in weight and size is perfect to be used as cabin bag for flights. There is separate space to carry 2 laptop, one ipad safely. I specially liked the side pockets which can fit big bottle and has multiple other pockets inside it secured by chain. Chain and zip are thick and of high quality. There are multiple pockets and spaces which is great to pack your things in an organized way. It has belt on the back which fits on a stroller bag when you are traveling on flights. The straps fits on your shoulder snuggly and has strap to tie it from front so that is doesn ’ t slip. It is perfect for long travel and there is so much space inside it that can surprisingly fit so much inside it. I have bought and replaced many bags because they get damaged easily when traveling long distance but I can guarantee that this Thule bag will last long and will survive harsh conditions of travel. There are many other good things about this bag which you will notice and will be surprised from it once you start using it. This might be the most comfortable backpack I 've ever owned. I like the organization a lot, though I wish there was 1 side zipper that gave you access to the outter most front pocket, without having to unfasten the flap. I really like the size of this bag. [ I did n't really start appreciating this backpack until I started to use it more. At first glance, it does n't seem that special, but once you really dig in, load up your stuff, test out the comfort, and then see how nice it stays, you 'll realize that High Sierra is trying to improve on a good product. All these little details add up to a compelling product that I 'm willing to pay extra for. I do n't think I 'll need a new backpack for a while since this pack is built pretty well.
