I 've been fishing the JackHammer now for a few months. I 've stuck fish in ponds, local lakes and in the creeks. It's the fastest starting chatterbait I 've ever thrown and just flat gets bit. Colors are great and paint is surprisingly durable, skirts stay in place, killer trailer keeper, great Gamakatsu hook. I do n't think you can design a better chatterbait. I 've had good success on Spot Remover, B. Hite Delight and Green Pumpkin. Pair it with a Yamamoto Zako, zman Razor Shad or a strike king rage craw. Last day I fished these, we had 4 folks on the boat all fishing chatterbaits, 3 fishing jackhammers and one guy fishing a standard zman chatterbait. jackhammers outfished the standard about 8 to 1 regardless of color. So make your own call,$ 20 for a chatterbait is steep, but in my experience it 'll outfish any other chatterbait.

A rubber jig skirt is a component used in fishing lures that adds movement and visual appeal to attract fish. Made from flexible rubber materials, these skirts create a lifelike appearance in the water, mimicking the natural movement of prey. By incorporating a rubber jig skirt, anglers can enhance the effectiveness of their lures, making them more enticing to fish.
Rubber jig skirts are versatile and can be used in various fishing situations, including freshwater and saltwater environments. They are particularly effective in cover, such as weeds or rocks, where fish tend to hide. Additionally, they can be used in different seasons, adapting to various fish behaviors and feeding patterns.
The colors and patterns of rubber jig skirts play a crucial role in attracting fish, as they can mimic the appearance of natural prey. Bright colors may be more effective in murky waters, while natural hues can work well in clear conditions. Experimenting with different colors and patterns can help anglers determine what works best for their specific fishing environment.
When selecting a rubber jig skirt, consider factors such as the type of fish you are targeting, the water conditions, and the type of cover you will be fishing in. Additionally, think about the size and weight of the jig, as these elements can influence the skirt's performance and the overall effectiveness of your lure. Matching the skirt to your fishing style and preferences is also important.
Rubber jig skirts are designed to be durable and withstand the rigors of fishing. High-quality materials are often used to ensure they can endure repeated use and exposure to various water conditions. However, regular inspection for wear and tear is recommended, as factors like rough surfaces and aggressive fish can affect their longevity.
