I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

My son picked this out to carry his lacrosse gear. This is a great backpack with plenty of room. There ’s a separate, zippered compartment on the bottom for his cleats. This daypack is a well- rounded minimal travel daypack. One large compartment that is expandable. Folds down flat so it can be packed. Comes with a couple of well placed straps for compression and stability( sternum strap). The bottom is made of a more durable material. I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

I love how the laptop sleeve has a false bottom so when you place the laptop in the backpack it does n't accidentally knock the surface the backpack may be resting on. I visited the peak design store for a warranty issue that was expertly resolved and laid eyes on the travel backpack. The internal design for organization and the features included were excellent. Wmith space for a 14 inch laptop and tablet, organization for SD cards, cords, included deep water bottle pockets externally and expandable design, I had to try it out for my upcoming international trip and this bag did not dissapoint. Its sleek look but functional features are second to none that I 've found. Its easy to access in tight spaces like a plane seat but also opens fully when at your destination. Big roomy pockets on the front for flasks with elastic loops that go over the lid to prevent it from sinking down in the sleeve over time. I love the zippered pocket on the left for my phone and the mesh pockets on either side for snacks. The bag has an easy top cinch at the top and is super roomy for the other essentials and then some. There is probably enough space in the pack itself for an emergency overnight. The fit is luxuriously comfortable, feels secure with very little bouncing and jostling. The only aspect of the pack I have n't used is the pole sleeves on either side of the pack or the elastic loops for lashing poles to the outside. They seem like they would work very well with the distance z poles, but not my old school backpacking poles. Really though, this is a great buy, I am extremely satisfied with the fit, feel, and quality of the running pack.

Perhaps the best backpack Nike has never made. Within a span of 4 years I ’ ve collected two with a third on the way. Well engineered and stitched together. I ’ ve use it as a personal carry bag, hauled it through congested city streets on two continents and multiple cities and even used a gym bag with all sorts of gear and at most two pairs of shoes comfortably. The side pockets can hold two 32 ounce vacuumed sealed water bottles without any issues. The top small pocket intended for sunglasses has enough ample space for additional items like headphones and a case for glasses. Fully loaded I ’ ve ever had one of these backpacks is at most 45 pounds. Shoulder straps are wide and really comfortable. The adjustability of the shoulder straps is effortless. The addition of the sternum strap gave more stability for heavier loads. My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. I think you might be able to squeeze into this pack if your torso is 19 '' maximum. Easily the most comfortable pack I have tried on, very happy with my purchase.

[ This is my first true backpacking pack so I do n't have much to compare this to, but it seems great! Plenty of adjustment options to get the perfect fit. High quality material and zippers. Seams all appear to be strong. Looking forward to many great trips with it!

[ This was my first backpack and I noticed it had lots of features that makes it so comfy when carrying like 50 lbs, all the straps, zippers and clips are high quality and the life time warranty makes it even a good purchase. Waiting for more advetures with this awesome backpack.
