purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non- typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage- free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its `` springiness '' which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not `` destroy '' your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist- style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel- toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing `` traditional '' trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

I was afraid of the sizing because someone told me the 22 ’s are more narrow in the regular fit than the 21 ’s. I like the stealthfit so when these came out I thought I ’ d give them a try. This is my first time purchasing the endorphin speed. Typically run at least 50mi a week, and have been a huge fan of endorphin pro 2, 3, 4. However, I rarely get more than 350miles out of each endorphin pro before the midsole of the shoe separates from the upper knit at the arch. While I do n't feel as much pop from the speed, I can instantly tell the upper of the shoe is not going to have this problem as it is substantially more durable than the pro. The feel of speed is a little bit slower but I think it will hold up well as a trainer that takes on the bulk of my mileage so that I can save the pros for tempo runs and races

In all honesty... I do not run... unless being chased... or the quick sprint to catch my kids. But I walk, hike, ruck,& I am brutal on my feet/shoes with a- lot of stop& go in my work. I average 6- 10 miles a day& for the first time in a while my feet did not scream at the end of 3 straight days trying these, great right out of the box( really low profile socks bunch up in the back a bit) They do work really well with my custom orthotics, clean easy, breath, do not really pick up gravel, and have great grip and balance. LOVE THESE! I just bought 9 different shoe styles( Hoka, Asics, Saucony, Brooks) to find my perfect fit with stability and cushion. Most are thick and bulky to serve this purpose but these are not! My only complaint is they need better color options. I actually ended up buying 2 pairs... one for work( ICU Nurse) and another for the gym. I also love the sock fit and pull- on tab on the heel... makes putting on and off a breeze. I do wish the laces were a little longer. I learned to loop them on the last 2 holes then lace through that loop to add more ankle support and these do not allow for a secure double knot... not a deal breaker as they do tie pretty secure as a single knot, but it's a preference.

I am grateful to Brooks for allowing me in the sports medicine ambassador program. I have worn the Glycerin GTS for some time and this is my first pair of just Glycerin without the GTS. When I first wore them, I felt one of my ankles was being pushed into pronation. An adjustment of the insert that came with the shoe was so helpful and after that I had no issues. My 3rd pair of 12s. Ca n't wait to try the 13s but it will have to wait. Too good of a deal not to pick up another pair. Run about 60m a week, although a tempo shoe is use these for tempo runs, MWLR and Sunday long runs on occasion for speed too if not too demanding if not I go to my takumi sen. Overall a great everything shoe a true do it all for me.

These shoes are so comfortable!! They 're my go- to for long walks or running. I over- pronate and my flat arches feel so supported in these. I 'm normally a 6W in dress shoes, and the 7W in these fit perfectly, providing wiggle room for my toes. For the 22 model, I had bought the 6. 5W which were not quite big enough( they fit the exact size of my feet without any wiggle room).
