This has been every single thing that I needed for my plantar fasciitis. I have tried baseballs and a frozen water bottle, but this? Works wonders. I am an endurance runner and over time, I have built up somewhat of an immunity to regular entry level foam rollers and have been looking for something more intense to achieve the results I am looking for, both pre and post workouts. I bought the larger size this time, to replace a smaller and original hollow one I had to leave when moving to another state. There is nothing that matches this product for me- but I use it differently, in my massage practice. The softer density allows me to press into a muscle( covered by a sheet of course) and allow the muscle to relax and lengthen. It also helps connective tissue( fascia) to release and glide back into place, and I can feel the direction and tempo of how the layers of tissue want to release. Because it's like a large thumbprint it can gently sink in( I never use it as a roller- instead I press and sometimes twist); it distributes the pressure, so that it causes less pain but really gets the job done. This has saved me from thumb and shoulder injury! The original lasted me at least 2 years. I 'm not crazy about the `` fins '', but understand the supportive construction. I will never be without one of these for myofascial release as long as I practice massage therapy. Definite thumbs up!

Great alternative to foam rolling. I use this at the end of the day if my legs, arms, shoulders or neck are sore from my workout or just the day. It is great because it has slight pressure on its own but you can add even more but pressing in as you are rolling. I personally think it is a great alternative to foam rolling and if you are n't quite ready to purchase a massage gun. I would not recommend it for someone that has a low pain tolerance.

I have owned this for a month now and I ’ m very happy I chose it. There are several options for massage bars, but this one struck all the correct chords. It ’s cost effective for sure, but that wasn ’ t my deciding factor. The shorter length of the bar allows me to use more torque on my quads without it bending like some of the others did. It ’s compact size it a alot more travel friendly when needed.

I really like this product! It works very well against my muscles. It rolls easily and I like how the edges are raised a little wider so it can dig in a little more in muscle groups. I REALLY like the metal barrel and the weight of it which helps while it's being rolled over your skin, because you do n't have to use much of your own pressure, that's what makes this product stand out from other rollers. I have used other rollers( including other metal rollers) that do n't glide well, catch your skin or kills you with knobs over your sore muscles and brushing them. I would n't hesitate in purchasing this product, you will love it!

Unlike most of the Trigger Point rollers this one is solid foam which has a little more give and is more comfortable than the hollow core rollers from them. I have this and one the hollow core rollers they both have their plus sides. This is not quite as aggressive and is there fore more tolerable for extensive work or sensitive muscles.
