This is my go to brand for the last couple years, I own 8 pairs, that being said this particular shoe is my least favorite and owning 8 pairs gives me a lot to compare them to. Disappointing!! Stiff, tongue slide down while wearing, and the top of my foot hurts. I actually had to put a heel pad in because side was rubbing on my ankle. Also because you need room to get your foot in shoe since there is no separate tongue area- but there is some stretch to the material. I just ordered my 4th pair of these. I love them and have completed several trail events ranging from 1/1 marathon distance to 50k wearing them. I even wore them when I ran the Chicago marathon last October, Honolulu Marathon in December and the Rock and Roll half marathon in Vegas in February- they were great on pavement too. I go through shoes pretty quickly, but these hold up well especially if you ’ re not a wrecking crew with your shoes, which I admit is a good description of me. I highly recommend them.
