I wear an 8 in most shoes, but I use orthotics because of my high instep arches, so I went one size larger and with my black Thorlo roll top socks they are very comfortable and fit perfect. I took this on my first trip to the western states and used them hiking in Estes State Park and Yellowstone, my legs were sore from the inclines and walking long before my feet ever where! I 've had these Leikis for a month now and still love them. I wanted something for urban dog walks that would keep my feet dry in rain and puddles but with enough traction to handle light trails. Perfect for shoulder- season weather when it's wet but not yet cold enough for heavier boots. They 're lightweight and cushy. At the store, I compared these to the Versacore. The Leiki is more snug around the heel and arch, but the toe box is still roomy. The Leiki toe box also has more structure and kept its shape, while the Versacore would crease and press against the top of my toes with each step which I found annoying. I liked the lower heel height of the Versacore, but ended up going with the cushier Leiki which seemed to also have more structure for ankle stability.

Broke my pair in walking around the city and at work for a few days and then hiked in them and loved them! Got ta love Gore- Tex, was walking through streams like it was nothing! The grip left me feeling secure, even at spots that were a little rugged or slick. They are adjustable with the bungee and comfortable for hours, especially as someone who has narrow feet. I purchased these to walk my 3 dogs in the dewy mornings of the Spring, Summer and Fall months in the South and they have not disappointed! For the VERY reason I purchased them, I give them a 100!! Now; I can not speak to any other reason for purchase BUT if you ’ re a Dog Momma like me, and sometimes you have to walk them on a leash, in the woods, first thing in the morning, these are the answer. Although I had to size up b/c I need wide. I wish more shoe mfg ’ rs would make wide width. I needed a pair of shoes that my feet didn ’ t get wet. Exactly what I was looking for! I ’ ve worn them two days in a row. The first night, was for an event I was volunteering. I thought I was going to have sore feel. Thai is not the case at all with these shoes. They are very comfortable from the get go! I have yet to experience wearing them in the rain to test the waterproof, but I ’ m not too worried about it. I bought these sneakers for a trip to Japan during rainy season but little did I know they ’ d turn into my fav sneakers. They are now my go to sneaks everyday! I was worried that because they were waterproof they ’ d be too hot but my feet have never gotten hot. You do need to put inserts in them as they have no arch support but I just put my normal inserts in and they were good to go! I sized up a half size.

Only shoe I 've ever worn, that I can honestly say I feel like I 'm walking on clouds. My typical stance has me putting pressure on all the wrong places of my feet. I 'm usually standing in one place and shifting my weight back and forth. It has caused me foot problems. With these shoes on, I 've found myself correcting my stance equally because it caused no pain. Walking was a dream. I have sore spots on the pads of my feet and for the first time in years I did n't notice any pain. I 'm hooked. I 'm hopeful these last with the comfort. The RS Walking Sneaker is nice looking and very comfortable. I got the B& W and thought they were white but they ’ re more of an off white. I just moved, still moving boxes around, and up and down stairs, etc. It ’s all me, no help. In addition, I do HIIT 4- 5 days a week. My lower back has been so achy and tired. I bought these shoes a week ago and have been wearing them to do things in the apt. I have metcon trainers for my workouts but I ’ ve run errands in these, carried boxes, and had my generally nuts 11 hr days in the Rykas- my feet and my back are so much better wearing these( plus they make me 2 ” taller!). History: I ’ m on my feet on hard floors for 8- hour shifts at work. My job involves a lot of movement, walking, and standing. I ’ ve gone through so many pairs of shoes trying to find some that give me the support I need. Even among APMA- approved shoes, I ’ ve had a lot that didn ’ t measure up. They fit weird, the support wore down too fast, and they still required some additional insoles! And my feet still hurt. All the time. DEVOTED: Are there magic springs inside?? These almost propel you by themselves. They ’ re lightweight, comfortable, SUPPORTIVE, and won ’ t cause foot pain! They are my only pair of shoes I haven ’ t stuffed a separate insole into. They ’ re excellent. Having properly supportive shoes helps the rest of my body to be able to perform my duties without misery. The fit: Perfect length and width. The “ these run big ” bit seems to come from the ample height. There ’s plenty of room for swollen feet, thick socks, or whatever your feet desire. I have no squished toes, but my feet aren ’ t sliding around. They aren ’ t designed to be worn without socks. If I had ordered down, they wouldn ’ t be quite long enough. To Ryka: well done! These are fantastic. I hope they hold up to the heavy use I ’ ll be putting them through, but they are the BEST shoes I have ever worn. Loads more colors, please! Thank you! My feet are happy. It ’s my day off and I want my work shoes on because they feel like heaven.

I 've taken these boots on multiple 10+ mile hikes now and can say I absolutely love them. They 're very comfortable in steep terrain or for long scrambles. I 've worn them in snow, rain, and hail and can say they 're definitely waterproof! Everyone is different when it comes to boots but Ive had Merrell hiking shoes and sandals and I know Merrells fit my feet well. These boots were no exception.

I work outdoors and walk tens of thousands of steps every day in every possible type of weather. I 've tried boots from several other brands/stores, and finally, after hearing me repeatedly complain about said failed footwear, my brother recommended Merrell. I 've only been wearing them for a few weeks, and while my feet have been delightfully dry( yes, they 're 100% waterproof even in standing water), I 'm wary about whether or not they will last as another brand or two also managed to keep themselves together for a few short months before disintegrating miserably and proving themselves not worth my money. So, while I 'm cautiously optimistic that my Merrells will outlast their competitors, I can confidently say that these are unequivocally the most lightweight, comfy and waterproof boot I have tried. After weeks of considering my options, I decided to take the plunge on these. I received my order about 10 days before the hut trip. The first day I trying them on they felt great, but the second day( when I intended to start wearing them every minute of every day to break them in pre- trip) I noticed that they felt quite roomy, despite having ordered exactly as the size chart indicated. I immediately began looking for a half size smaller and low and behold, they were sold out everywhere. Despite my immediate panic, with lack of better options I ended up committing to the size ordered paired with a thick pair of wool socks for the trip( 6. 5ish miles each way, 2kish in elevation gain on the way up). I am delighted to report that despite feeling a bit roomy when I tried them on, the wool socks made the fit perfect. The trip up proved to be the most foot- comfy hike I 've ever had! My feet stayed entirely warm, which has never happened without Hot Hands in my socks in winter hikes for me. Beyond that, the boots were completely submerged in snow due to post- holing multiple times throughout the weekend, but my feet stayed 100% dry the entire trip. These paired well with my Kahtoola microspikes and Orvis snowshoes. All in all I 'm completely impressed and can not wait to hike more in these boots. If you have gear anxiety and are on the fence about ordering these( like I was), I highly encourage you to get off the fence and order! My initial impression is that this is the best boot purchase I could 've made.
