Replacing an older TNF Goretex hard shell that held up for a very long time until the zippers failed. First impressions is that the number of pockets and their positioning is exactly the type of thing you did n't know you needed until you have it. Feels light and offers good maneuverability. Just roomy enough that layering with mid layer does n't feel bulky and stuffed. Although the armpit area is a bit snug, I have a Denali fleece so maybe the newer FutureFleece models will fit better. This jacket has ended all desire to purchase anything else. Great quality and build. It ’s kept me warm and dry on chilly pow days and the vents keep me cool on the sunnier days. The oversized hood goes over my helmet and keeps me very cozy. Easily the best jacket I ’ ve invested in. It is a little big but that does allow me to layer comfortably while still maintaining mobility. I ’ d prefer this over a tighter fit and baggy is steezier anyway. If anything, I would prefer zippered internal pockets but that ’s just me being nit picky.

I ended up going with my normal size of XS after trying the XS and S. I 'm 5' 1 '' and 109 lbs for reference. The size small fit more oversized but the arm sleeve were slightly too long. If you 're between sizes, I would size up. My main concern was how cropped it might be and both jackets ended up hitting my waist at about the same spot so I went with the smaller size for the better arm and shoulder fit.

The powder skirt was great. The pockets are deep and offer storage. The blue color is bright and really vibrant she loves this coat!

[ So far, one week of spring type skiing, this coat is doing a nice job. Cozy and comfy, with lots of pockets, and room to move. Love that it covers my buy and upper legs. The only improvement would be slip in hand pockets behind the zipper/flap pockets on the bottom. Cost will get a better test in Finland next week:)

I am not a skier but I wanted a jacket that would keep me warm and dry in very cold temperatures and winter precipitation. The day after I bought this I took a long walk along a country road wearing this jacket over a t- shirt with temperatures in the mid- 20s( F) that soon saw precipitation in the form of wind- driven light snow and sleet. I was amazed at the cozy, comfortable feel this jacket provided. I will never second- guess this purchase- love this jacket!

Good winter and low temp jacket. Its longer and a tad baggy/active since its made for riding, so take your normal size and layer underneath for really cold days. It's super comfortable and will keep you warm and dry. Hood is definitely a little too Raph, it's made for riding with a helmet on, so its too big for casual wear but I knew that would be the case for any snowboard jacket so it does n't bother me.

I am unable to revise my previous negative review. Hence this second review, following up to share the wonderful customer care I have received after notifying the company of my dissatisfaction with the insulation factor in this jacket. Please be advised that this parka is not suitable for extremely cold conditions on its own. As the company explains, and of which I was completely unaware, this parka needs a lighter jacket under- layer in cold climates. It it roomy enough to comfortably accommodate under layers, which does indeed create a much warmer experience in extreme temperatures; a common occurrence where I live. We routinely experience temperatures well below zero.

Love this jacket. Bought it for warmer ski days and even on cold days with a few layers underneath it kept me pretty warm. It ’s long and covers my butt which I like when skiing and the collar is fleece lined so it ’s nice and soft when you zip it up all the way over your chin. Cool design too! Love it.

This Parka is perfect! First time wearing it, I was on a hike up a 4, 000' mountain with single tempts and a stiff wind. I was completely cozy. No drafts up the bottom thanks to the added waist closure. With the hood and zipper up, my head was very protected. I have a small and there was enough room to wear a base layer and soft shell underneath. Love all the pockets, that are where they should be. It is also breathable which is a bonus when climbing up. I bought this shell to match my carbide bib and I love it! I 'm 5' 5 115lbs and the XS is a tailored fit while still roomy enough to layer up with a fleece and thick puffy jacket. This jacket is light and would be great on its own for spring skiing. Taped seams, good ventilation, and lots of quality details. The tree line colour is beautiful and I 've had so many compliments at the resorts. I 've owned several OR shells over the past few years and this is my favourite! Worth the buy

I like the flexibility and softness of the fabric and the fit is good. Ihave not warn it yet in snowy or rainy conditions but hopefully it will hold up well. I am 5' 3 '' and sleeves are a little longer. Its great OR makes various lengths of pants. It would be nice to have shells and jackets in petite sizes. If they were available OR would not have much competition for the `` short '' market

The jacket is a little big but I think that was my doing. I didn ’ t measure but usually get an xl as I like my clothes room to move in. I went with the xl. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 and 200lbs. Very warm as well. My old jacket is have to undo the thumb hooks every time I went to bind my boots in. This jacket I ’ ll have no problem.

[ I am 5' 8, 160lbs and I ordered the large and it will be perfect with layers to stay warm on the slopes. The arms are long which is perfect for me. The belt is functional which I was concerned about from reading other reviews, and it's a nice detail to add some form. Slightly disappointed in the color as it is definitely more of a purplish blue than a royal blue as I thought from the photos.

I think the people having zipper problems aren ’ t setting the base of the zipper properly. I was having same issue at first but it was user error.

I 'm a muscular 5' 4 140 lbs and the medium fit great with lots of room for a thick fleece or puffer. It is a longer fit jacket.

Kept me super dry all day through a snowstorm. It's a BEAUTIFUL color, just as pictured. My only issue is it's really fitted through the waist, so it did n't give me a lot of room to move as I was boarding.

Pretty quality. I am 5 ’ 10, 170, usually a large but I ordered a size up for extra steez. I like the length, it ’s a little boxy but roomy enough for a beacon, etc. The front middle pockets seem good for when I wear a backpack. I like the way the bottom pockets lie, stuff won ’ t fall out easily if they ’ re open. The hood also seems to be a good size for a helmet. My only concern is the zipper pulls are very thin and light so possibly not the most durable. Also don ’ t need the powder skirt as I am a bibs person so kind of wished it detached. Otherwise very functional and looks good!

[ I bought this coat in boysenberry after Chicago got hit with lots of snow and below zero temperatures. As I was out shoveling, I discovered the designer winter coat I bought from a big department store was NOT waterproof. Unfortunately, I weigh 274, so finding a coat is n't easy. After researching, I decided to try this one even though it is over$ 300. It fits great( it is n't loose, but it is comfortable and I can sit with it zipped)! It also is not puffy, so there is no added bulk. The sleeves are nice in that they are not too short and I can tighten them at the wrist with the Velcro. I also love the chest pocket-- I put my phone in there and can listen to a podcast as I walk my dog. Well worth the money!
