They provided excellent traction on snow, slush, and ice. For reference, I wear a 10 Wide in Skechers, and these boots I got in a 10. 5 size.

I have never, in my adult life, worn anything smaller than a 10 in any shoe( boot, sneaker, sandal, heel) but the size 10 in these was considerably larger than I could wear! I learned very quickly that the Sorel Caribou boot was the Best way to keep feet dry and relatively warm in the Great white Tundra of the North East states.
