I 've tried boots from several other brands/stores, and finally, after hearing me repeatedly complain about said failed footwear, my brother recommended Merrell. I 've only been wearing them for a few weeks, and while my feet have been delightfully dry( yes, they 're 100% waterproof even in standing water), I 'm wary about whether or not they will last as another brand or two also managed to keep themselves together for a few short months before disintegrating miserably and proving themselves not worth my money. The toe box is spacious enough to accommodate my weird feet, and the inserts and good enough that I do n't have to replace them with orthotic- wear type insoles. The color fades quickly, but who cares? I have a sort of weird gait, so I wear down the outside of the heel sooner than I would like, but that happens with all my shoes. I do n't think it's a durability fault, because most of the sole retains its tread.

I have been waiting for RED WING to remake women's boots from the heritage collection for many years. I thought I would buy the Harriets and be done with it, but my local store did n't carry them, so I tried on the 6 '' mocs just for kicks. I fell in love. I was n't even considering purchasing the lace- up work boot. I work in the motion picture industry and I 'm on my feet many of my 12 hour work day. I have had these boots for over a month and I think this is the wisest shoe purchase I have ever made. The lead actress on our show bought the Iron Ranger boot the same week that I had bought my red wings. This boot was a little stiff at first in the toe, and I 've always considered my feet a bit wide. They are wearing in nicely and I am glad I did n't try to go up a size to accommodate. I am a true 7. 5. Definitely worth the higher price point. These boots surprisingly go with much of my wardrobe.

The boots are very comfortable after wearing them over a couple weeks. I knew this would be the case based on my other RedWing work boots. I ended up with a size 8 shoe even though I usually wear a size 7 because of the insole that the salesperson recommended. My feet were very tight for a little while until the shoes were broken in. I love the look of the boots for wearing around the office because I hate wearing high heels. The only down side is they squeak very loud whenever I walk on a smooth hard surface, such as tile. Other than that, I recommend investing in these boots.

OMG I CAN NOT say enough about these boots.... I will be ordering them in all 3 colors. I had yet to find a hiking boot that didnt cause me foot pain, blisters, or hot spots.... until now. These fit my feet perfectly. The toe box is typically where i struggle with hiking boots- blisters and pain of the great toe and medial ball of foot. Even while breaking these in I did not experience either of these issues. I have tried SO many other brands without finding the right fit.... i resorted to hiking Montana's Mountains in luna sandals because i could not find a hiking shoe/boot that didnt cause foot pain. Keens are absolutely awesome! These are my 10th pair of Keen shoes. I have all different styles and they are all comfortable right from the start. There is no break in time for them. I got these boots just a few months ago and have already hiked over 100 miles in them and have had zero blisters or sore spots!( I am training for the Camino in Spain and these will definitely be my boots for the trip!). I have also been out in the rain with them a couple times, and along with my rain pants, my feet stayed dry. I intentionally splashed around in puddles like a little kid and my feet stayed completely dry and warm! My favorite feature of Keens is their wide toe box. While they make your feet look a little big, I do n't care. Being able to wiggle my toes and not have that tight fit is worth a million to me. And because they are a little wider than other boots, they are very stable. I 've never have my ankle break over when hiking on uneven or soft ground. I ca n't say enough about these boots. I highly recommend them and will be a loyal Keen customer for life! Keens do also run a tad small, so I always buy a half size up to allow for a good thick sock. I 'm usually a size 6 1/2, but I buy my Keens in a size 7.
