This hat is great! I 've owned it for about a year now and it has still held up very well in the Florida heat! Me and the family go on a yearly trip to Orlando and the amusement parks down there can get HOT in July! This hat is a great addition for daily wear for hours on end and tens of thousands of steps later on peak south Florida humid summer days. It does a great job keeping the sun out of the eyes, is very lightweight and breathable. No concerns if it gets wet in the pop up downpours, or you can purposely wet it and it can keep you cool that way as well. I strongly suggest pairing this with sunglasses and sunscreen as well, but this is probably one of the more important things to pack. If you plan on being outdoors in the summer heat and sun for hours on end, this is the one to keep a cool head per se! 5 stars very happy with this.

This is my second of these hats, I wear them every time I run. They are very well built and very breathable. Extremely durable with a comfortable fit, good wicking material( sweat pushed to brim and doesn ’ t drip down your face, I am an extremely sweaty person), and very good sun coverage. Bill works well with most sunglasses( I have large blocky costa Del Mar ’s that fit well under the brim). Only issue I have with it is the tab in the back can be hard to get out of the way due to the difficulty of feeding it back into the hat.

I got the goldenrod color, and it ’s a little darker in person, but still a cool color. I don ’ t use it when I ’ m out gardening or mowing the lawn because I prefer my other Sunday afternoon sun hat that I can throw in the washing machine if it get dirty. So, this is my signature hat. I am a female fishing guide and it took me a long time to find the right hat. The Vivian is THAT hat. I am hard on my hats, so I 'll say I go through one of these hats every 2- 3 years. Things I love about this hat: The floppiness protects my face and neck from the sun, it's stylish and feminine, I can tighten the stampede strap when the wind kicks up. Things I do n't love: The stampede strap is leather and wears out over time. The bead wears the strap out and Sunday Afternoon have replaced the hat for me because of this, but with my last one, I ended up repairing it myself with a much stronger material. Also, when the hat gets a little wet, it smells like a horse.

[ I love hats and after losing my Columbia wide- brim hat in Zurich( I blame the chocolate) back in 2023, I was relieved to see a replacement a couple weeks ago. Imagine my surprise to unbox such a stylish chapeau! Though its wider brim made me think of Paris in the spring, it was bought for adventures in South America. Mid- August, I leave for a month- long vacation to Brazil where this hat will protect me from tropical rays as I stroll the famous beaches of Rio de Janeiro followed by 3 weeks in the Pantanal( jaguar safari!) and then an Amazon riverboat cruise. I have more than one of these now- two for work& one for play. Fits fantastic, easy adjustment tab in the back. You can `` boonie '' it and scrunch the brim to get that sun that's angled to the side or shove it in your pack/pocket. Take it out and a hard shake will get the brim back. It looks good, it does everything you need and nothing you do n't need. I love the way this hat looks and fits. I have a pretty small head and it has quick easy adjustments. The adjustments are so good that I ride to the beach and back home on my motorcycle without this thing flying off. When I get to the beach and ready to fish I can loosen it in less than a second. It's sun gear so the most important thing is the protection. it's still spring here in Florida but it's already up to 80s on a regular and the day in the photograph was exactly that. The hat works great for blocking the sun and it also does a pretty good job keeping you cool. The brim is stiff enough to stay out flat for coverage but soft enough to still look good. Used it all last summer and heading into this year i 'm relying on it again. Caught my first pompano of the year and the photograph came out great so I figured i 'd actually write a review.
