It's comfortable and feels far more breathable and quality than alternative sun hoodies on the market( REI Sahara sun hoody) Also, the protection I get with it from the sun is amazing. The hood is more oversized so it's easy to wear over a helmet or to sorta pull to the side to provide extra protection from the sun-- even when you 're just driving and there's bright sun coming from the side window. It actually feels cooler than the REI Sahara hoodie by 2- 3C, even though they 're both the same weight. I think this shirt has better thermal conductivity. It also absorbs sweat faster which helps increase evaporation. You can check by dunking both shirts into a tub of water. I felt much more comfortable with this in 30- 40C temperatures with high humidity. I can feel the difference under a helmet. It's more stretchy, and greater horizontally compared to vertically so you have to be careful not to stretch it too far in order to keep it's UPF protection so I wear a loose fitting size. The fabric is n't as durable as the REI Sahara, as it has more pilling after a few months of wearing 2- 3 days a week. The wrists seem to be more stained. It has more facial coverage along the neck and side cheeks near the ear because it has a smaller opening for the face. It's a round opening so it sits fairly symmetrical compared to the REI Sahara which has an overlapping stitch at the neck that causes the hood to twist to one side. It does n't have a drawstring but since the opening is smaller, the wind does n't really blow it off, unlike the REI Sahara which needs it's drawstring to be cinched to resist the wind. The only benefit of the REI Sahara is possibly greater sun protection from the side rear angle due to how the hood drapes, but less protection from the side front angle; cheaper price; higher durability.

I wear the echo line of active wear when I 'm working out of fishing. The level of cool I get from wearing the ActiveIce appearal is unlike anything I 've tried before. It keeps me cool and I 'm not sweating as much as I do with the echo fabric. It does come with the trade off of being a bit heavier than the echo and not as breathable feeling since it's a thicker fabric. I will choose to wear the echo fabric when it's a cooler day doing a lot of activity and the ActiveIce fabric when it's really sunny and warm.

My favorite for trail runs and hikes. The length to mid knee is perfect. I sized one up because I like shorts with some room, but even so they have what I 'd call a `` normal '' fit. Straight forward wind breaker pants with some added insulation. Packs a lot of warmth for not being baggy and hugs tighter to the leg without being constricting or feeling like running tights, this allows you to layer thermals underneath it for the really cold runs. I bought these because I liked the zip- off Ferrosi's so much and these pants are great! Despite being in the same family, the fabric feels a little different between these and the zip- offs but still incredibly stretchy and breathable. Like the zip- off, these have the built- in draw string and leg cuffs which is handy for ditching the belt and being able to pull up the cuffs if you like. These have become more of my casual around town pant now because they 're just so comfortable.

The weight and fabric is breathable light. It is the lightest pants I have hiked with. In areas where shorts are not the best option but it is hot these have been a life saver! I like the pockets and drawstring at the waist and ankles. Beginners and experts could both benefit from these pants. The only drawback is that it is thin fabric which can snare on twigs and tear. Pretty durable for their weight though.

My last pair shrunk a bit so I upsided on these in case of that. These are the most comfortable hiking pants I have owned. Also very durable. My last pair had the zipper to make shorts, which I hardly ever used and was less comfortable due to the zipper. I skidded on my side about 8 feet after crashing a dirtbike going way faster than I had any right to, and the pants look new. I don ’ t know if the current fabric is the same as these, but I bought them about seven years ago, wore them hiking, and then decided to take up dirt biking last Saturday( you are correct, these are not appropriate pants for that sport). WHERE ARE THE NEW COLORS?!?! These are the most absolutely amazing pants on the market and I 'm getting nervous that there are no new fun colors this season. It's true that this fabric does pill little bit but hear me out- they 're still totally worth it! I work exclusively outside for my fulltime job, hiking 5 miles per day on average and I genuinely wear these pants 4 days a week at minimum. I 've had the same pairs of Ferrosi's for over 5 years and though pilled, they 've lasted perfectly and show no other signs of wear. They are crazy lightweight and breathable but also water resistant. They keep me cool in 100+ degree weather and also do great over a baselayer in the winter. They are stretchy enough but also hold their shape. OR, you better warn us if these ever get discontinued so I can buy 10 more pairs.

I have the patina green in medium size. I go on day hikes at least twice weekly and have this shirt keeps me as comfortable as possible even in 30° Celsius weather. This shirt stays dry as I sweat during my hike. If the weather starts to cool it is easy to put a fleece layer over this one. Lastly, I do n't put this in the dryer after washing as it can become completely dry in an less than an hour in my house where the A/C temperature is set to 20° Celsius. Overall I really like it and I will get a second pair to use when I do the Salkantay Trail in the near future.

[ Shorts are form fitting, but not tight. Material is of a high- tech nature, not cotton. Dries fast and durable. Material is n't stretchy, but super comfortable. On a side note, I 'm happy that there is no back pocket. Strange at first, but now that I 've worn them a while I appreciate not sitting on my wallet. Plus, not having a pocket makes the shorts a little more `` clean '', too.

The “ Arche Rock Pants ”, according to a very helpful person in Consumer Service, are the closest match. I like the pants but I ’ d prefer a light soft lining which the Holly pants have and a softer outside material which probably is less water resistant. The Arche Rock pants have a thin material with no lining and they rustle when I walk. Maybe some of the stiffness will decrease over time. I bought this last week and it was made in Vietnam. The information was printed on the tights, which I think it is better than a physical label. I am 58kg/ 161 cm. The tights( size S) are very tight on my legs but there is still much room at the butt, so when I walk I could feel the butt area a little bit strange. Regarding comfort, Abisko Trekking Tights Pro are less comfortable as the Abisko trail tights I own, but warmer. You can literally feel the compression and tightness of Abisko Trekking Tights Pro when you put it on.

My first pair of trekking tights- glad I went for these. I 'm Uk16 and 6ft and find the Xl a perfect fit. The seams are very strurdy and the pockets well placed. Hand washed and air dried several times and holding up well. I like the knee and seat reinforcements, but a same coloured option would be good- as per another reviewer. Warm enough for wild Welsh winters. The fabric dries quickly and is hardwearing with big dogs and scrambling over rocks. The ankle hole seems tight, I 'd say these are a `` sit down and ease over the heel '' legging rather than put on standing up and pull all the way on. A suggestion- Would Fjallraven consider printing the garment information inside the fabric instead of having itchy fabric labels? I have to carefully cut out the labels with a sharp knife, without damaging the seam, which I 'm sure will end in disaster one day.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

I 've been looking for a lighter version of hike and cross- country ski pants and these fit the bill perfectly! I practically 'live' in these pants as they are really comfortable! I appreciate OR making these pants with shorter 30 '' inseams in addition to regular 32 '' inseams. They are high quality and should last several years.

Used these on a hike up Mount Monadnock, temp was sub freezing the entire hike and I was comfortable during the climb. I 'm 6' 225lbs and ordered an XL. They were slightly big on me despite the sizing guide saying this should be my size. I had to draw down the belt as far as I could. However there would be plenty of room to layer if I needed too

I purchased this hoodie for sun protection on a recent 9- day backpacking trip. I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. I really liked how feather- light it was, it dried fast and the hood was great when the bugs were fierce. Furthermore, all the bug/blood/sweat stains cleaned up nicely after the trip and it looks good as new! As for durability and wind- proofness, I will bring it on my next two canoe trips this July and report back:)

Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. Not sure how they managed that without sacrificing durability but so far it's held up beautifully! I 'm a sweaty hiker and it's pretty amazing how little sweat this shows and how fast it dries. This lil hoody is also extremely packable- have taken it on quite a few birding/hiking trips and long days bike- packing. I plan to take it to AZ this weekend for a friend's bday trip to really put it to the test( I 've been using it in Idaho thus far). Also- LOVE this pink color. I would buy anything and everything in this pink, so dang cute! I bought a Small and Medium and I 'm keeping the Medium- I 'm 5' 4 '' and about 140- 150lbs( 30 '' waist and 40 '' low hip, aka most of my weight is in my booty/thighs). The small fit fine, but I prefer a looser fit for layering and breathability:) And because this is a sun shirt, looser fit is best for the fabric to keep out sun rays, anyways. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

I just bought my second echo, first hoodie, and I love it. First really sunny day in alaska out on the lake. Kept me very cool, no usual sunburn. The hood helped with wind and keeping those massive alaska mosquitoes out. The material is so soft, I never want to take these shirts off.

For me, it's the perfect sun hoody. I wanted something super light for hiking in the sun and just a little sun protection to prevent me from burning, because I still want the vitamin D. This barely weighs anything and I find it surprisingly durable for what it is. It's not tough by any mean, but I was worried it would deteriorate after a few uses. I have two minor complaints: 1. is that it's quite expensive for how simple it is. 2. The t- shirt version fit differently than this version, it was quite tight around the chest, I was expecting the same fit. The t- shirt version is great for working out in the gym on a hot day where they still insist you wear a shirt.

OK I have tried A LOT of different pants for outdoor climbing... these are hands down my# 1 favorites for warm weather. They are VERY stretchy and somehow quite durable- no tears and minimal piling after TONS of abrasive granite, limestone and tuff over the last year, and I 'm back ordering in another color. I love the high waist, the side pockets and that I can move so freely, including very high steps:) They are flattering, comfy and stay cool. I would size down if between sizes as the fit is loose. I would love to see some additional fun colors- teal, green etc.

Buy these, particularly if you 're a curvy outdoor gal! I bought two pairs a couple months ago and am now living in them, as the weather warms. Fabric is a little thin, but that's great for the warm, humid south. Biggest perk is that they work great on an active, but curvy figure. I ca n't do some of the other styles that are cut slim in the butt/thigh/hip area, but these look great and are super comfy.( For ref b/c it helps me, I 'm 5' 4 '', curvy, and wear medium Dynama products). I really hope MHW keeps making this style and adds colors, b/c it's now my fav of the Dynama line!

I 'm 5ft 2, 130lbs and wear an xs. The stretch is so comfy and the fit flatters my shape. The waistband is a little big but overall, I love them! Feels good to find a climbing pant that both fits my shape, is comfortable, and looks good!
