Great lure for Lake Michigan Smallies. I gave a 5 star review but it is more like 4. 5 stars. My only complaint would be that they are very heat sensitive. They will melt on you if you leave them in your hot trunk or hot bag. BUT.... They do hold up well to multiple catches per bait. And hold up well to being dragged across sharp, rocky bottom structure. Just keep them out of the heat and you will be good to go!

Definitely my go to lure. If you just wan na catch a fish tie one of these on. Its small but VERY loud for a tiny lipless crankbait. Can cast really good even with a bait caster and is fairly aerodynamic, lands straight and belly down `` 99% '' of the time. I use this for both salt and fresh water. Ive caught panfish of many sizes along with bass, chain pickerel, crappie, white+ yellow perch, red drum, baby striper barely longer than the bait to 20+ inchers. Its just a fish catcher! Colors I mainly use for this are helsinki shad and blue chrome( pure personal opinion but Im sure all the colors work). Im trying the pink tiger next! I recently used these in the tampa bay. The results were very good when nothing else was working, including live. They advertised as durable and that part is simply not true. These baits are very tender and do not last for more than a strike or two. Ill buy them again but rather expensive for being no tougher than they are.

I like Gulp because they are always in my box and I do n't waste an hour getting live bait. When fish are biting they are actually better than live shrimp because they stay on the hook longer and are not bitten off. You can also cast them further without them flying off like live shrimp often do. But honistly they are not quite as good as live shrimp when the bite is off, when the fishing is slow. But all in all I love these things and use them more often than live shrimp because they work most of the time and sometimes even better than live bait.
