My girlfried used it fluke fishing and the only thing she did n't like was the right hand retrieve. I purchased a left hand retrieve rival reel for when she goes. I lost one like this and I am very happy with my new one. If you use for your personal workout you do n't have keep track of reps in you head, depending on the exercise of course. As an old wrestling coach it is far better to use this when you drill and want to keep track of reps in a drill than for time. My manager made sure each wrestler did the same thing on both right and left sides for certain drills. it is a great coaching tool. You and your assistant can keep score of a match easily with this.
