I purchased the grey Latitude hat in March 2019. It has traveled in my suitcase to multiple places over the years, and washing machine cycles, and it still has its shape. Since I started having children in 2019 it gets worn when I am outside no matter what. Most sun hats I have purchased fade from the constant sun exposure, but not the grey one. The brim has lost a lot of its firmness over the years, but it still retains its shape and does not sag or has gotten wrinkly. Recently I purchased the BlueStone color of this hat and it ’s beautiful. My grey one is my main garden hat now the blue one has replaced my daily use.

Bought this one to replace old one that was blue and has traveled around the world with me. Love how light and compact it can be when not wearing it and how you can expand it for wearing to keep sun off your face and neck. Only reason I have to replace old one after 12+ years is because of the metal in the outer part finally snapped in few spots. So outer part does not hold shape as well especially in wind. Mind you I washed it with similar color clothes probably once or wove a year( which might not have been recommended) and would fold it over twice to fit in top of back back on travel days in airports and buses. This hat is versatile and comfortable. I had one for 10+ years that I wore on all kinds of adventures from hiking in the rain forests of Puerto Rico to hunting in the Rockies to river rafting to taking my dogs on walks until someone stole it out of my truck! They got a great hat and now I have a new one. I 'm looking forward to another decade or more with this one!

Everyone should have an Outdoor Research Seattle Rain Hat. It is waterproof, lightweight and packable. The Fatigue/Black that I order is as shown in the picture. I do agree with another reviewer that they should bring back the adjustable headband.

[ The hat seems to fit well as I do have a relatively large head. It blocks sun well. Given I live in Florida, I have not been able to test in the rain yet. I read conflicting reviews on how waterproof it is. I plan to use for long hime in Portugal later this month. If I encounter torrential downpours, I will also have a waterproof hood to wear over top. I think the color I purchased is fine for what I need.

The Cayman hat arrived this morning. It is a great `` walkabout '' hat that keeps my bald spot from burning. This will stand in as an `` informal '' summer hat for years to come. The adjustable capabilities of the hat arrange for a proper fit and the price was right. What a profound distinction from the `` ball cap '' crowd. Comfortable, but still nice looking.
