I bought this in preparation for a trip where I was expecting temps in the low 40s, wind, and rain, but needed a few easily accessible pockets, too. This coat worked perfectly for me, keeping me dry, warm, and relatively protected from the wind( with the hood), too. The lack of an inner pocket was a bit of a miss, but the two outer breast pockets worked well for my phone and( when traveling, and worried about pickpockets) wallet.

I bought this jacket to wear for skiing but have been wearing it at other times also. It is warm and I love the fur hood. I do wish that there were thumb holes in the inner sleeves and maybe another pocket inside the jacket on the other side( there is one on the left side) to stick tissues, money, etc. but it's a great jacket and very comfy. I actually have no complaints about a product for once. It's my go to for extreme cold, and it's served me well in temps as low as- 40°. You can wear* heavy* layers underneath this thing and it does n't feel cumbersome. The wind and water resistance is excellent, and adaptable with waxing. The fur lined does a very good job keeping wind and ice out my eyes. Again, no notes. In my opinion, it's a must have if you 're serious about exploring the colder parts of earth.

I needed a new winter parka, and was looking for one that would be great for daily use as well as being reasonable to pull on over a suit jacket when I have to make winter trips to the college campus in New England where I work. I tried several, and once I had tried the Nuuk, everything else seemed like a compromise. Being American, I 'm used to right- handed zippers, so the left- side/ European zipper took a bit of getting accustomed, but I was past that in a couple of days, and now it's as easy as any other coat zipper I have. The coat itself is near perfect. Super comfortable, roomy but fits nicely and looks great. I love that I can pull it on over a T- shirt when it's 5 degrees F outside with wind chill well below that and be perfectly comfortable. SO many pockets, and all are very functional. Rain proof, wind proof, tough yet comfortably flexible fabric. Love the hood, and I 've kept the fake fur ruff on as it traps warmth around the face. Love this coat and recommend it without hesitation.

[ This jacket caught my eye because of its' bright colors and classic, yet uniquely new design. I love the bugaboo embroidery on the back as well. But the biggest selling point for me with this jacket is its' versatility. I am easily kept warm in New York winter with the full coat, but on days when it's milder, I love that I can easily just take off the blue outer shell and only use the inner piece-- which is also a great stand alone jacket. It fits true to size and looks like how it does on the website. I 'm 5' 3 '' and 135 lbs and bought a Medium and it fits great. Not oversized or too tight anywhere. But it is form fitting. So if you like a baggier look and feel, I 'd go up a size. The quality of material and the zippers is excellent, and it's really easy to put the jacket back together if you choose to separate the layers. The only things that would make this jacket better for me is if there was a hood for the rain/snow, although the high neck helps a lot. Aside from that I wish the zippers did n't zip from the bottom up in case something falls out; but to be fair, nothing has fallen out before.
