[ Ordered a small and it fit well compared to other size small jackets I 've owned. Love the breathable panels and how lightweight it is. Great for light coverage against minor wind and cooler temps. Was great when I took my child for walks at the parks. Fabric is soft and comfortable and it's well made. Love how light it is and easy to carry with me as an `` emergency jacket '', only thing I would add is thumb holes to keep the sleeve down when being more active in it, which is just a personal preference, not due to a flaw in the sleeve design.

[ From the moment I unboxed this jacket to my first time trying it on, I was beyond impressed with both the quality and the fit. This lightweight jacket is a total game- changer for busy moms! It's super easy to pack, fitting comfortably into so many different bags, making it the perfect companion for family weekend getaways or spontaneous trips. I hadn ’ t tried Nike in a while, but this jacket definitely reminded me why they ’ re a brand worth trusting. It ’s a solid 10/10, and I ’ d highly recommend it to other moms looking for something versatile and stylish. The fabric is incredibly soft, with just the right amount of weight to keep me comfortable in both cooler spring and summer days, or even as an indoor layer during winter when you need something light to throw over a tee or tank. I love how flattering the cut is, and the length is perfect for me — it hits at just the right spot. Plus, it comes with a hood, which is always a bonus! Overall, this jacket has quickly become one of my go- to pieces, and I can ’ t wait to wear it all season long. Bonus it has a hidden safety whistle!

[ The Nike Swift Women's Repel Packable Running Jacket comes out of the package sleek and ready to go. The sleeves are roomy enough to slide on without fighting a watch band and fall just past my wrists. A comfortable elastic sits around your wrist and does a pretty good job of keeping the sleeves in place while not feeling tight. The fabric of this jacket is soft to the touch and extremely light, providing a comfortable wearing experience that does n't weigh you down. Even though the fabric feels delicate, it proved itself perfectly balanced-- able to keep me comfortable in the winter chill at the start of my workout and manage to not leave me overheated at the end. The jacket fit like a glove, yet I still felt like I had plenty of room to move without anything riding up or feeling too tight. There was enough room to be able to wear anything from long sleeve to just a sports bra without issue. The hem is asymmetrical, going from shorter in the front to a slightly longer back hem line. I loved this because it still allowed use of a running belt while keeping my lower back more comfortably covered. And did I mention the hood? Light, but providing full coverage so this jacket can demonstrate the full force of its water repellant ability. The hood was my favorite feature. I feel like hoods often do n't cover enough or stay on well enough as you move. This one had no issues with that. Oh, and the front pockets zip, so you do n't have to worry about anything flying out while you 're moving. There's a lot to love in this jacket, and it even includes a whistle tucked into the lapel that you can use when you 're running alone or need to call out to your running buddy. I do n't have any complaints, but if I had to change one thing, I would lengthen the sleeves and add thumb holes. I did feel like the elastic kept the sleeves down pretty well, but thumb holes are just that extra security I love when I run. Overall, this jacket fit great, looked excellent, felt comfortable, and kept me covered and at an ideal temperature from the start of my run to the end.

[ The Nike Swift Women's Repel Packable Running Jacket is really nice! It fits great, and is very comfortable to wear. The material is thin, lightweight, and feels like a windbreaker. It's strong, durable, and easy to clean too. The zipper also works well- it's easy to use, does n't get caught on anything. This jacket is perfect for packing in/out when hiking, camping, etc.- it folds up super small, and weighs practically nothing. It's also a great jacket to grab while just on- the- go. It's a nice extra layer for any time of the year. Overall, I think it's very well made, well designed, and definitely high quality. I highly recommend!

[ As someone who ’s always on the go this Nike Swift Women's Repel Packable Running Jacket has been a game- changer for unpredictable weather and busy days. It is lightweight and compact, making it easy to keep in my bag and bring with me. I also appreciate the water- repellent material, that remains breathable and comfortable. It is true to size, and allows me to still layer underneath it, while not being bulky. The pockets are spacious enough to fit my phone and keys. And above all else, it is stylish while remaining functional, and feel comfortable wearing this jacket during workouts and while running errands.

[ This product was great! It ’s extremely light weight but not in a weird or flimsy way. It ’s perfect for a run on a cool autumn day when you want something to cover up with but aren ’ t yet ready to pull out your sweaters and heavier clothes. Also, just love how the pockets are so durable within which you can leave your phone, set of keys and a card with the peace of mind.

[ This jacket PS so light and comfortable, it barely feels like you have anything on. I ’ ve been using it multiple times a week for these summer rainy days. It repels water and dries fast. It ’s perfect for the grocery store to throw on and keep warm without feeling too warm. The fit is perfect. It ’s pretty loose but in a slim way and it ’s what makes it comfortable and easy to throw on with no fuss. The material is great too. The fabric repels water but is somehow still very soft. I love the zipper pockets so I don ’ t need to worry about anything I carry falling out on a jog or run. It ’s great. I wouldn ’ t change anything about it honestly!

[ This jacket is pretty much everything you want it to be for a running coat or rain coat or everyday wear coat!:) It is so thin, lightweight and the material is very stretchy. I love that it's made of 75% recycled material and is also waterproof. Cool! My favorites about this coat are in the details though!! The sleeves have elastic so you can pull them up your arms and they stay. The zipper pulls all have a little extender on them for convenient use and there is an elastic hook to hang the coat by. Probably my favorite detail is the design of the hood pulls. You can pull your hood tight and lock it into place with a stopper. But even more awesome, the stopper is on a loop with a little blocking washer so your strings wo n't get lost in the holes of the hood during wear or washing. Amazing design!!! The only thing I would mention here is that I am a woman and this is a mens coat so the design is very straight; no room for hips at all- so I would suggest getting a womens style coat if you are at all curvy. For me I just tuck it under. Also for a men's small to fit me perfect makes me think it may run a bit small( as I think most Nike items do). Overall, highly recommend.

[ I love the feeling of this jacket. It's soft and comfortable. It's unlike any jacket I 've had in the past and is very trendy. I travel a lot for work and carry a heavy back pack, I replaced my small umbrella with this jacket. It rolls up pretty small and is a lot lighter than the umbrella, which helps with reducing weight of having to lug around through my travels. The stylish look combined with the light weight stretchy feel makes this jacket stand alone in my collection that I 'll resort to for many occasions and not just for a cloudy rainy day. It's also not like any other typical rain coats, this one does n't make you feel like you 're wearing a plastic bag and make you all sweaty. So for the comfort, the feel and purpose, I do love this jacket and would definitely recommend.

[ The Canopy Jacket fits small to size but has a comfortable, easy to move in feel. It layers well over a long sleeve without feeling bulky or restrictive. The fabric is extremely soft and lightweight, and it feels great while running. It doesn ’ t have that stiff or crinkly feel some jackets do. I really like the mesh pockets on the inside and the zippered outer pockets for keys or small items. The elastic at the wrists keeps the sleeves in place, which I appreciated. The hood offers good coverage from the elements, and the small visor is a nice touch. The vented back and breathable fabric help regulate temperature well on everyday runs. The Halogen Blue color looks great, and the subtle logo placement keeps it clean and low- key.
5
Calin
[ The canopy jacket is a perfect spring layer. Right out of the box, I really liked the feel of the jacket and it looked flattering when I put it on. I am typically a small and even though I am in my 3rd trimester, I was surprised to find that the jacket still fit due to elasticity in the material. It will be perfect when I get back to my typical size. The two zipping pockets are great to keep my keys secure on a run and big enough for a phone if I am wearing it more casually. The material also did a great job keeping me dry in a slight rain. I do n't believe the jacket is completely water- proof, but it is certainly water resistant, which I would n't have expected with how soft and non- plasticy the material feels. The trade off with jackets that keep water out is that they are not the most breathable, but the canopy jacket seems to have found a nice balance between the two. The vent in the back helped to let some of my body heat escape so that I did n't feel like I was trapped with heat and sweat. Overall, this is a piece that I will come back to often.

[ This jacket is great for fall running in the midwest. It has a nice windbreaker quality to it and keeps me warm without overheating. The color is nice and fabric feels like it's going to last me for years. My favorite parts are the zipper side pockets, they are huge. The side pockets easily fit my phone, gloves, and small amounts of nutrition. It fits true to size. I have no complaints about this jacket.

[ I absolutely love the Brooks Canopy Packable Jacket. It ’s incredibly lightweight and breathable, yet still provides excellent protection from wind and light rain. The fit is comfortable without being bulky, and I appreciate that it doesn ’ t restrict my movement while running. One of my favorite features is how the hood stays in place without bouncing around, and the ventilation helps prevent overheating. Overall, this jacket has become an essential part of my gear. If you ’ re looking for a high- quality, packable running jacket that performs in unpredictable weather, I highly recommend it!

Runner17261
[ The Canopy Packable Jacket is a lightweight, windbreaker that ’s become a staple in my outdoor workout apperal. I will use it for early morning runs, in light rain, or as a backup layer on longer walks. It packs down small enough to fit in a vest or waist belt, which makes it super convenient to carry. This would be a great jacket for hiking in misty, slightly chilly weather. I was unsure at first, but the fabric is impressively durable even though it feels very thin. It does a great job cutting wind and repelling light rain without overheating, especially in these hot summer months. The ventilation on the back and underarms adds breathability, which is a big plus. What I like most is how unobtrusive it feels while wearing it — no extra loud crinkly sounds and no restriction of movement. It ’s also stylish enough to wear casually. If I could change anything, I ’ d add a small zippered chest pocket for stashing keys or a gel — right now everything goes into the main pocket, which isn ’ t ideal while running. I definitely recommend this jacket if you are looking for a durable, lightweight, stylish jacket.
5
ZacL
[ I love this little jacket. I 've had it for a few weeks now, and it's the most convenient jacket for rain or wind. I live somewhere with unpredictable weather, and it can rain with little notice. This jacket folds up small enough to fit in my back pocket. Whether it's in my jeans pocket for casual use or being used when trail running, I take this with me way more often than I would a bulkier coat. This is NOT an overly warm jacket, but if you just need to minimize wind chill or keep the rain off, this jacket is perfect. I ca n't believe how light weight it is. I 'd like to get one in a more neutral color for daily/casual use.
5
Lonnie35
[ The fabric of the Canopy Packable Jacket is very lightweight and super breathable, great for wearing it while jogging or just going to pick up groceries in the neighborhood. Seems to be great quality, long lasting durability, and waterproof from the material wise. This jacket comes in solid colors too like black, white, gray, and royal blue so you ’ re bound to find one that you can match your outfits to. Although the material is comfortable to wear, I don ’ t think I would ever pay the somewhat steep price for such a light fabric windbreaker in my opinion.

I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. It is also roomy enough for layering underneath, and I enjoy the big pocket for storage in the back. 10/10 would recommend.

I am obsessed with the Bessie Packable Jacket. It ’s everything I didn ’ t know I needed — lightweight, incredibly warm for how thin it is, and so easy to travel with. I love how it packs into itself and even turns into a pillow( seriously genius for flights or road trips). The fit is relaxed but still flattering, and the cinch at the waist gives it shape when I want it. I ’ ve worn it in rain, wind, and chilly mornings, and it holds up perfectly. The recycled materials are a huge plus — I feel good wearing it in more ways than one! Also, shoutout to the pockets — there are more than enough and they ’ re actually functional. This jacket goes everywhere with me now. Can ’ t recommend it enough!

This jacket definitely rivals my Patagonia nanopuffer in warmth and comfort. The color is a perfect shade of brown IMO. I 'm 5'10 '' and it hits right at my waist. I wound up going with a size small because it's rather boxy( I 'm usually a M/L). Great travel jacket that packs down into nothing. Even wore it out into the rain and I stayed remarkably dry. Granted, I was running from the car to the store, but enough that I would 've felt it had it not been water resistant. I would definitely recommend. This brand is new to me, but I 'm now excited to see what else they got cookin'.

[ This Nike water repellent woven jacket is amazing! My daughter loves it and it ’s the jacket she chooses to wear almost every day. It is super lightweight and has a very soft feel to it. It has a folded hood around the collar that also creates an extra style point. It ’s perfect for those hot humid days where it starts to rain and she can be protected and comfortable. It folds up nice and small so it doesn ’ t require a lot of space to pack it just in case. The color is beautiful and after many washes, has not faded. [ This jacket is amazing! My daughter wore it to Nordic ski one afternoon and she was perfectly comfortable. It blocked enough of the wind to keep her temperature just right, and it was water- repellent when she encountered some melting snow. This jacket is designed very well with a hood that fits nicely into a snug collar. It did the trick to keep the wind and water out as needed but it is still trim and stylish. The fabric is very light and breathable, but did the trick to keep my daughter temperature controlled in wind and dry and melting snow. I love the utility and compact nature of the jacket. [ I recently purchased the Tactical Waterproof Shell Jacket, and I could n't be happier with my choice! This jacket is an absolute game changer. First off, it's incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for both outdoor adventures and everyday wear. I love how comfortable it feels against my skin, allowing for easy movement without any bulk. Not only is it functional with its waterproof capabilities, but it's also very stylish! The design is sleek and modern, which means I can wear it confidently in various settings, whether I 'm out hiking or just running errands around town. Overall, I highly recommend the Tactical Waterproof Shell Jacket to anyone looking for a reliable, stylish, and comfortable outerwear option. It's definitely a must- have in anyone's wardrobe!

[ This is a pricey shell but I got it with the hopes of wearing as a general outer layer. Its still new but so far I 've been able to wear in mixed conditions( snow, wind, rain) and it has met my needs in all cases. The neck line fits just a little strangely for me but otherwise fit is great( it's wide to account for zipping up over the face). With an under layer it keeps me warm in freezing conditions and remains breathable for a waterproof shell. Also get frequent compliments on the look. Very happy with this splurge item so far.

This is the perfect puffer for where I live! Lightweight, casual, soft, but still really warm. The packable feature makes it super convenient for traveling. I love the slightly cropped, loose fit too!

4. 5 stars. Usually a S or XS in jackets and glad I went XS it's still big enough to layer under. I wish they made an XXS because when I cinch this up to my preferred crop length there is some extra fabric that bunches around my mid section( I 'm 5ft 8 about 120lbs with long arms and torso) so I agree this is not might not be the best for very petite gals unless you want a baggier fit. Dolomite is a nice buttery sand color. Love the stitching pattern that gives a quilted look. Overall I ca n't wait for cooler weather and to travel with this puffer.

Julia
The best thing about this puffer is how warm and it and packable! I 've used it as pillow for road trips, camping, and travel. Great travel jacket and versatile. It does run big, I got my usual size small but could size down to an XS. I wear the Dolomite color for colorful outfits as a neutral and LOVE the yellow one if I want a pop of color.

Sara
I wanted to update my sizing review for something more detailed. If you plan to not wear layers and are extremely petite you can get away with sizing down. However, I actually think halfdays runs true to size. When trying the puffer and the Pieper together, the XS fit but it felt slight restrictive in the chest. For that reason, I actually am exchanging for my true to size small. The jacket fits true to size with an oversized feel. Since it's oversized anyway, sticking with your regular size will allow for more layering options. I recommend buying both sizes and seeing what you prefer because it ends up being a presence of fit. The peony color is the most accurate color so far.

Sara
I would give this jacket a 4. 9. Beware this jacket runs big. I read a couple other reviews from petite ladies who said this ran big and thank goodness I trusted them because as a normal size small, the extra small is perfect. Another thing I 've already reviewed about is the color accuracy is a major problem. Halfdays really needs to post unfiltered photos of all of their products. There is always usually a warm filter on the colors or it's been enhanced in editing. I wish instead of enhancing the color, they just made the product that color anyway. The sage color looks nothing like it does in the photos. It is a very very pale muted sage green and not the more bright pastrl sage green as pictures. It means more beige than it does green. If you 're a fan of the color seasons, this would be great for soft summers, but avoid the sage color if you 're a winter like me as I looked ghastly. Another heads up is that the zipper does tend to get stuck on the fabric like other reviewer's that says, which is a bit annoying and hopefully it wo n't damage the jacket. Be super careful when unzipping and zipping. Overall I bought it in black since its so lightweight and will be a great piece just to throw on but not worry about carrying a heavier jacket

Nice light weight jacket for running ... A bit expensive for what it is, but if the zipper on the replacement jacket functions properly I ’ ll be happy with

Great jacket, love the color and light weight which is what I was looking for. Zipper stopped working after a few wears and would not open at the bottom but it ’s being replaced. A bit expensive for what it is, but if the zipper on the replacement jacket functions properly I ’ ll be happy with it.

Super light and packable. It kept me nice and dry when needed. I found it runs small if you intend to put it over layers, recommend size up over a puffer like nano puff.

This rain jacket is super impressive. When it comes to traveling, camping, hiking, or even exploring new cities, countries, etc. You ca n't beat the portability of this jacket. It is super thin and light making it easy to roll up and store into any type of bag weather it's a backpack, purse, or even large fanny pack. Even for being so light and thin, it easily stops water from getting through. I 've had zero issues with any type of moisture getting inside either due to prolonged periods of water exposure or leaks through any seals and stitching. I will say, because it's so thin, in colder weather, you would need a warmer layer underneath to act as insulation. That being said, you might need to get one size up than normal so it can fit over any layers you need. Also, if you are traveling through any thick brush or scraping up against rocks, you need to be careful about scraping or snagging any sharp/rough surfaces too hard to prevent any micro/macro tears in the material. Being so thin, it's not super durable, but it's not very easily torn either. Overall fantastic product and highly recommend

This is a super light, rain shedding jacket. Is it 100% water proof? No, but no rain jacket is. It ’s breathable, and with proper mid layer moister management, you can hike all day in the rain and be as dry as you would be in any other rain jacket. Pairs great with alpha direct layer underneath.

This is a simple, very lightweight windbreaker, that packs into its pocket. It's somewhat water resistant, and dries quickly, but not waterproof. It's in my backpack for every hike, and my carryon whenever I travel. It weighs almost nothing and when it's in it's pocket turned carry pouch, it's about the size of a 3 x 5 card and about an 1 '' thick. It even fits in a purse, a fanny pack, and many hydration packs. I always have one on my boats, whether sailing or rowing/kayaking and have been glad to have it hold in my body heat on a chilly airplane, or as a paper thin layer for skiing, both downhill and crosscountry. Worn as a mid- layer it makes a fleece slip on effortlessly. One of the most versatile pieces I own. I have both hooded jacket, and a no longer available pullover.

Yes, this jacket is lightweight, but that ’s what I needed! I bought it to stuff into my bike bag. It can be stuffed into the smallest space, yet pops out wrinkle free. It ’s great as a windbreaker, and as layered clothing. It has no hand pockets, but there is a zippered pocket in the chest. I ’ m normally a large, but in this jacket the XL fits best.

Love the light weight of this jacket. Perfect for spring when it is breezy but not cold. This jacket is very compact- able and great to travel with. Although it is not waterproof, it does fine in light rain and drys super fast! Runs slightly large.

You can wear this wind jacket from spring to fall. It can be packed into a pocket making it easy to travel with. It ’s a classic looking jacket that will never go out of style!

I love how weather resistant this jacket is! Its light, but has enough power against spring/summer wind and light rain to keep you comfortable. Super packable, and feels good against the skin- does n't feel like plastic.

I 'm a big jacket person, I have one for just about every weather situation and this is my go to in the spring and summer. It's really effective at blocking wind while I 'm biking, I 'll layer a fleece if it's chilly. During the summer it's the perfect weight for cool nights and keeping bugs off of you without overheating, it has light water resistance so this is definitely not a `` rain jacket '' but it does dry super fast if it gets wet. It packs down very small and also the perfect travel companion.

Dean S.
Material is flexible and light, breathes and cuts the wind. I 'm 6- foot- 2 and 160 pounds, and glad I got the XL size, even though the sizer suggested L.

I purchased one of these in Copenhagen 4 years ago, and have worn it on the beach in Oregon at least 500 times. There are no signs of fraying, material is still strong, zippers work great. If it rains, or excess wind demands it, the hood fits well and tightens with clever elastic locking adjusters. The length is just right for me, not too long like some. Chest pocket is perfect for keeping my wallet/ID. I have collected rocks over the years and just put them in the side pocket, and they are still strong. Light weight but excellent in windy conditions. I do n't need to replace it but after 4 years it's looking a bit faded so I ordered another one in a different color and it's on the way. Expect the new one is the same great jacket. Thank you Fjall Raven. In my entire life I do n't think I 've worn a single jacket so much, and I 've never taken the time to go online and praise a piece of clothing but this deserves that.

Good looking and functional but, surprisingly, zipper was on the left side. In most countries this is a gender thing. I am male. Did I buy a female jacket?

Pete
[ Wore this on a cruise to Ireland& Scotland. It repelled wind& light rain and I found myself reaching for this jacket often. The fit is nice, I 'm 6' 4 and the XL is nearly perfect. The sleeves are little long( my size is 36/37 so this is probably 37/38) but I 'm ok with it. The front/back length is passing for my height but if the back was longer( like they do with some jackets) it would be even better. If you 're 6' 2 to 6' 3 I think the length would be perfect on both sides. The body is roomy but not baggy, and fortunately not slim fit like some. It's not the best in the cold and the material has a cool feel against the skin, so I wore this with a L/S wool baselayer. Mountain grey is a killer color, my favorite from this brand thus far. I really like they style and I got several compliments.
$279.00
It is n't bulky at all, and it looks really nice on. ... Very comfortable and warm. ... The Helium Down does not disappoint regarding warmth. ... This jacket does not dissapoint, though time will tell for how warm it is once winter starts in full
5
Finn
This jacket served me well for 10 years of steady use every winter/fall and I finally replaced it. The quality is superb, the new Pertex Shield on the shoulders/arms gives it a much more durable feel. It has a premium feel in the hand and is a nice blend of weight/durability. Fits great with layers underneath, but also works well as a mid- layer under a shell. I 'm a fan of the new color options too. In summary, this is a durable, lightweight, packable and versatile jacket that does its job in the back- country but transitions seamlessly to the front- country. Highly recommended.

I like the cut of OR jackets. I am 6 ’ 1 ” 235. The Helium Down does not disappoint regarding warmth. It has that soft down feeling with added structural integrity where one might carry a pack. The gusseting in the arm allow for a full range of motion without much rise. I have long arms and can still draw out without the jacket tightening too much in the back. If for some reason I found myself in dire need of more warmth I could wear it underneath a jacket or shell because it could compress enough to almost be a base layer and not sacrifice its loft. At which point I am certain to roast.
5
Travis B
This jacket I has an incredible warmth to weight ratio. The reinforced areas are positioned perfectly for use with backpacks and tactical gear. Very comfortable and warm. Packs up very nicely if you ’ re a backpacker and space conscious.
5
Tesh614
Love that this uses a fairly high fill power down( 800+), making it warm and space/weight efficient. I have higher fill power items like MH ghost whisperer UL( 1000 FP), but most UL garments use fragile fabrics and do n't have any weather protection, so they 're really limited to cold, dry weather. The Helium Down Jacket has weather resistance in key areas due to the Pertex Diamond Fuse panels, which makes it more versatile. It wo n't be a great outer layer if you 're expecting heavy rain, but I wear it by itself in a light mist or under a shell if heavy rain is expected. The Pertex panels are a little crinkly, but not as loud as some reviews suggest. I found the sizing to be accurate. This is quickly becoming a staple of my wardrobe from fall through spring. Thanks OR!

Have had great experiences with OR gear. Have n't put this to use yet, but zippers and fabric looks like they will hold up through several winters. Contrasting zippers and two shades of blue make this stand out.

I 've had this jacket for a few weeks now, and I 'm pleased with the performance. It's light and compact enough for my needs, and the stretch makes it comfortable to wear even with a pack over it, and when I 'm moving fast. I have the Black version and will use it for hiking in the Pacific Northwest, but also as an emergency shell while travelling for business.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] Rain jackets are simple things. We expect them to be lightweight, packable, breathable and to not fail. But, when you add simple but effective features like stretch fabric and pit zips? Now you 've got my business. The Stretch Ozonic fits well leaving a little room for layering underneath. Some rain jackets are like saunas for me, so when I start to steam I love having pit zips to regulate my personal humidity. This does it for me.

Light and very packable. Medium fit well for 5'10 ''', 165 lbs. Loose enough for an extra layer underneath.

Tested out the new UL Premonition during my training in Salt Lake City and my recent Makalu expedition. Two of the best features of the jacket are its weight and packability — it is incredibly light and easy to pack into my backpack, especially when carrying a lot of gear and equipment up to higher camps. The jacket shielded me from rain, snow, and high winds at higher altitudes. It ’s highly mobile and easy to wear. Particularly love the internal long zippered pocket — perfect for storing important devices like iPhone or Garmin inReach.

I bought this in the early summer bc I was in desperate need of a new rain jacket( my old one was literally crumbling apart!). This past weekend I assisted in the rescue 7 people who were capsized in a pontoon boat. I dove into the water with phone and all in the pocket of this jacket. After the scary event ended I took my phone out of my pocket and was shocked to still see the phone screen activated! The phone still needed about 7 hours to completely dry out and let me charge it but it ’s completely fine now. Obviously this jacket isn ’ t meant to be submerged but the saving the phone of it all felt worth mentioning. This jacket is also WARM and I don ’ t feel like raindrops are still making me cold through the jacket. It ’s also a superb wind breaker. I wore it on a 5k ft hike and the wind at the top was bearable in this jacket. It ’s expensive but it WORKS.

[ Packing for travel, you want a jacket that can handle the cold, wind, and rain yet still fit in your travel bag using minimal space. Marmot solved all that with this jacket. I love my jacket! With both inside& outside pockets and even a hood that actually rides well on your head, everyone should take a look at this jacket before spending your money.

[[ Employee of marmot] Bought this jacket for a summer trip full of hiking and urban exploring across Norway. This jacket held up and kept me dry through everything that we encountered-- misty, windy, foggy, rainy-- and it fit great layered over a fleece on the colder days. When the pace picked up or we were going uphill, the pit- zips were great additions to help keep me comfortable and prevent overheating. It also packs down super small so it was easy to bring along on every excursion in a daypack just in case it started to rain.

LouDogg
I 'm so happy with this windbreaker! It's super lightweight but really does cut down on the wind. The fit is very flattering. And more importantly, it has hand pockets! That may not seem like a big deal, but I 've been disappointed with numerous other lightweight windbreakers on the market that do n't have hand pockets. The pockets are zippered too. This will be a versatile jacket to throw in my bag for spring, summer, and fall. I can see myself using it for hiking, biking, and around town.

As always OR makes the best gear. The fit is awesome and looks great. Be aware it is a very light jacket, lighter than I was expecting. But a perfect running jacket, or for a thin layer on a hike

This ultra light weight jacket does it all! I use it for early morning summer/fall commutes, runs, field work, and sun protection even in hot weather. Surprisingly warm and wind resistant for the super thin fabric, almost paper weight, yet breathable. The easiest layer to throw in a purse or bag. I had doubts when I received it but it ’s exceeded any expectations. Two thumbs up!

Was looking for a high- visibility running jacket similar to the Patagonia Houdini Air( wind resistance+ breathability). I have both the regular Houdini( size L) and Houdini Air( M). Keeping this in M. FIT: I 'm 5' 1, 150 lbs, 34DD, round belly. With a Smartwool 250 baselayer or a thin long- sleeved cotton t, fit is close to the body, but not tight( Houdinis run much slimmer); pretty forgiving of my belly:) Perfect length for me, falling around mid- hip; Houdinis are longer, falling below my butt. FEEL/FUNCTION: I 've worn this for multiple runs( incl. light rain, strong wind). This feels somewhere in- between the Houdinis in terms of wind- blocking and breathability. V. light rain beaded on the surface of the jacket, but left a mark when smushed into the fabric. Material is a matte, slightly stretchy, more fabric- y( vs. plastic- y) material- like a slightly thicker/heavier Air. Hood fits over thick pony- tail securely when fully zipped, and stays in strong wind. Doubles as a running and casual jacket better than the Houdinis due to a more forgiving fit around the mid- section( for looser- fitting street clothes), shorter length( more flattering for my short stature), and zippered side pockets. Packs down small enough for an upcoming 2. 5 week trip to Europe( 24L bag). COLOR: Azalea appears neon coral in the pictures, which is what originally attracted me. Unfortunately, it actually is not neon at all, and is more like a salmon pink that leans more pink than orange. It is slightly see- through. LOVE the green( Grove) colorway- something about the color+ matte fabric texture+ matching zippers makes it look SO smooth and rich and clean. Did not intend to get this color, but decided to try( and keep!) it based on the( accurate) pictures.

OR Employee (Charlie, Product Team)
I am an OR employee and have used prototype versions of this jacket over the past couple years. The fabric works very well at giving both wind and light weather protection AND breathability and stretch. For running, mountain biking and as an `` up- hill jacket '' for backcountry ski touring it is amazing because it adds warmth in cool and cold temps, but breathes enough to prevent overheating so much better than traditional windshells. And it is ultralight and highly packable. Best of all worlds.( It does not replace a rain jacket though. It is water resistant, but far from waterproof.)
5
PNWhiker28
I bought this to try out in spring/summer in Washington and it is fantastic. It's super light weight but does a great job at blocking the wind and light rain. The fit is trim but not overly loose( I got a large with a 41 '' chest, 6', 188 lbs). It has quickly become my go to windbreaker and has replaced my Arc'teryx Squamish hoody. Definitely worth the buy!
5
Intermittent Grouch
This jacket is extremely comfortable. I 'm 5' 6 '' with broad shoulders and a more or less triangular shape( not a body builder by any stretch, though). The medium fits me perfectly with room to layer. I expect it's long enough for taller people, too. It breaths well, provides good wind protection, and a small amount of protection from precipitation. The first time I tried running in this jacket, the hood flopped annoyingly into my field of view. I have since discovered that you can just fold the brim back once or twice to tighten up the fit. This may look a little wonky, but it works beautifully, and it's the only option, since there's no drawstring adjustment on the hood. It's very nice to have hand- warmer pockets, which many wind shells omit.

This jacket is a light, packable, and comfortable. Perfect for warm weather adventures that just need a little extra layer to block the wind. It packs down into a small pouch that can be tossed in your pack or beach bag for that `` ace in the hole '' when needed. Unlike many competing brands, this jacket is made of a very soft material and does not have the crinkle feeling like you are putting on a trash bag. Also unique to this jacket compared to it's competitor's is that it has front handwarmer pockets as well as a chest pocket( most packable options do not). The pockets in my opinion bring it from just being a quick grab backup plan to an intentionally worn and functional jacket. The chest pocket is a great spot to quickly store your cell phone and the front hand pockets give you that sensation like you just put on your favorite hoodie sweatshirt. I have worn it while hiking mountains during the summer in Maine to hanging out on the beach in Costa Rica on a windy day.

[ Employee of mountainhardwear] I have been using multiple Kor products for a while and added this one to my closet recently. It has many uses but what I use it for is early morning hikes and rides. It adds just enough warmth over a base layer to reduce the bite of morning chill. The fabric is crazy stretchy and soft, and while I have n't been rough on this one, my insulated Kor Strata is a ski layer I have hammered all season with no issue. This thing is crazy packable too so it makes it easy to shove into a pocket or my lumbar pack.

There's a reason you see so many really favorable reviews of this jacket. It checks all the boxes. Packable, super light, blocks the wind, repels mist or light rain and looks great. Pull it out of your kit at a windy summit or the top of a pitch. If you are slim and athletic, it fits true to your usual size. I have a paunchy `` dad bod '', so I had to go up one size for midriff room. You wo n't have to, though. I also have the lined hoody version of this garment, and like it equally for belaying or just spectating at the base of the crag.

The good is that this is the lightest shell I 've ever put on- it's as light as a feather. But, I still do n't understand why MHW wo n't put in cinch waist cords anymore? It's not so great to have air come up thru the bottom with no way to tighten up. Additionally, the no wrist cuff is bizarre. Fernglow is a nice electric yellow color and the sizing is just right this time.

I was thrilled to be able to pack this and a supercharger shell into my day pack during a summit bid on one of my 'off days', I was able to travel super light without sacrificing my warmth or protection from the wind&

[ This jacket is designed and is so suitable to stuff and pack tightly. The jacket is light and warm enough for a hike with pack. I do n't overheat and with a mild breeze I 'm not effected in the way other lightweight jackets can be. I recommend this for thru- hiking and that extra outer layer of warmth and protection!

[ My body temperature usually runs very warm, however during cold weather this is the only jacket I need. It's light and keeps the heat in. Added bonus that I scored on the eggplant color while on sale!

[ This jacket is great for all occasions. Early mornings, late afternoon walks or in the snow. I live at a higher elevation where the weather changes in a blink of an eye. You will be plenty warm with just a shirt underneath. This jacket is so easy to stow and go, also versatile with what ever outfit you are wearing. Pack it in the pocket and throw it in the truck, you will be glad you did! 5' 9 '' 200 lbs

[ Surprisingly warm for it's thickness. The ultralight nylon is stronger than I had expected. Light weight and material allows great freedom of movement.

[ Great color- Nori- and fit. The drawstring at the bottom and velcro sleeves are priceless. Hood is big enough for helmet or winter cap. Has kept me very dry.

[ This jacket is of excellent quality. If you want to keep water out and are going to be in cooler temps I highly recommend it. I am using year- round for cost saving with layers or not. If I had the means I would use this only for colder temperatures which I think is what it was designed for.

[ I have enjoyed using my running jacket and have worn it more often than I originally thought I would. With it being warmer this time of year I wasn ’ t sure how much use I would get but cooler rainy days have been perfect for it! I love that it ’s lightweight and easy to pack or bring along with me. The fabric is breathable and comfortable without feeling hot and sticky. I wasn ’ t sure how it would be without a liner but it has been comfortable. I can see myself continuing to use it in similar conditions, cooler weather with light rain, early fall and spring as the seasons change. The color is a little brighter than I typically choose but it is fun! It is a good staple to have in my closet.

[ This is a perfect lightweight jacket. It ’s great for in between seasons when it ’s chilly in the morning and then you warm up as you run. Because it ’s truly packable, I ’ m able to take it off and easily fit it in my waist bag. The fabric is soft and breathable as well. I love the hot pink color! This is a very high quality and practical jacket.

[ The Canopy Packable Jacket is a fantastic athletic jacket for physical activity and a busy lifestyle. The fabric is very lightweight yet sturdy enough to block out unwanted wind and light rain without feeling overheated. The elastic that is built into the front of the hood provides a visor that stays nicely in place while in motion, keeping unwanted raindrops from hitting your face. The lightness of the jacket makes it perfect for throwing in a bag while out and about. I appreciate that the material unwrinkled quite quickly after being rolled up and stored in a backpack. While the bright magenta is easy to see in dim light, I do wish this jacket came in more muted or earthy tones as it is such a great jacket to bring when you need to travel light and have the possibility of rain. Overall, I am super thrilled with the quality and usefulness of this canopy jacket and will be taking it with me on many adventures.

[ This was a gift for my girlfriend. We were boths t u n n e d at how lightweight it was when it arrived. She has said she did n't realize anything that lightweight could be that warm. Impressive piece of gear!

[ I just received this jacket and it is amazing- very lightweight, warm, and cool looking. Question: What more could I want???? Answer: Cool weather and some hiking trails for a `` test drive ''. Although the price tag was scary high, it seems well made and will really pack well. It is a keeper. I am not sure about `` durability '' yet, but it seems to be well crafted.

[ I am 5 ’ 4 ” and 155 and I was worried the small would be too tight, but it ’s the perfect fit. I can ’ t believe how light the jacket is, but felt the warmth right away. The material is super thin, so I ’ m going to try my best to be careful with it.

I bought this specifically for big wall climbing and it was perfect for doing El Cap in a day( first trial run with the jacket!). It's light and packable, taking up minimal space in my day pack and was super easy to take on and off throughout the day between belaying and climbing. Pretty warm with a sizable hood. Pockets are roomy enough for an iPhone. I do wish it had a draw cord and packed into the pocket with a reversible tab for a carabiner( you can still pack it in the pocket, you just have to awkwardly clip to the zipper). One downside to the lightweight fabric is it's extremely fragile — I tore several small holes in the arms while mantling onto a granite boulder at the end of the day( the other down jackets I 've worn never had this problem, but they were much thicker). I also notice the feathers like to poke out of the fabric rather often, and have to frequently pull them back into the jacket. So: handle with care!

Only downside is how the feathers poke out of the jacket.
