I needed a light weight yet warm jacket to use under a waterproof shell, and this jacket fits the bill exactly. I hope to continue to use jt for my yearly ski trip to Colorado as well. This jacket fit real nicely. I love the north face merch! the color red is beautiful. Materials is great and feels very light! The only thing about this order that kinda made me concerned a bit was that the jacket was delivered with only a think plastic bag and no clear plastic covering the jacket like I usually get things delivered. Very nice raincoat or parka. It reminds me of the old Army Gortex parka, with the positive addition of elastic cuffs at the wrists. Have had the chance to try it in the rain and its kelp me warm and dry!

In typical Carhartt fashion it looks and feels strategically overbuilt. I bought it to use on multiday raft trips. I need something that will do its job. This is exactly what I was looking for. I like the loose fit. We can get snow into June here in Montana and I can layer with this jacket and still move. Good job!
