The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. It has two zippers along the teeth, which is super helpful if you ’ re crouching down or generally stretching the jacket in some fashion,( you can move that bottom zipper up to open the jacket a bit, so it ’s not as taut at the bottom). The hood and fur are removable but I haven ’ t taken either off. The jacket is quite warm and comfy, even without the heat on! I highly recommend. I am a small or medium in all my other coats, jackets and tops. This parka in olive is exactly like the pictures in my opinion. It is heavy, good quality and beautiful. I ordered a size medium based upon the size chart and it is VERY fitted in the hips. I am an athletic build- 150lbs with lots of muscle, however I have wider hips than my waist( hourglass) for sure and this REALLY hugs my hips. Fits well in the upper body. Quite possibly large would have worked better, especially since the battery sits on the hips( tightest portion for me). The jacket is beautiful and works well, however the sizing seems to run at least 1- 1. 5 sizes smaller than average. Can not wear bulky layers with this size for sure. I ended up going with my normal size of XS after trying the XS and S. I 'm 5' 1 '' and 109 lbs for reference. The size small fit more oversized but the arm sleeve were slightly too long. If you 're between sizes, I would size up. My main concern was how cropped it might be and both jackets ended up hitting my waist at about the same spot so I went with the smaller size for the better arm and shoulder fit.

I really like that the powder skirt is removable to get rib of the added bulk. I wish there was an outer chest pocket. The wrist cuffs are a bit bulky.
