After thinking about this purchase carefully, I decided to purchase this jacket while on sale. I do n't think it's worth the full price( the brand name I 'm sure factors into the higher price point), but so far I 've worn it over and over again. It's a little oversized but comfortable and fun for a pop of color.

Love this jacket, I have 2 TNF in the women's and i have a problem with the sleeves being too short, I read a review where someone had purchased a men's jacket because it was sold out in women's, and that the men's jacket worked out better due to the sleeves being longer. I am so glad that I came across that review. I love this jacket and the sleeves are perfect

To my surprize, I saw online that there was a great deal and a two- tone black/off- white jacket available. I am over the moon with my raincoat! It is top quality and I especially like all the elevated details that make this jacket perfect for rainy weather. The length is perfect also—not too short or too long. [ Bought this to replace a worn- out Venture jacket. This thing performs and has features that are beyond its value pricing like pit zips and more. I have traveled all over Alaska from Bethel to Nome to Barrow and Ketchikan with confidence that if it is pouring rain or even snowing, this jacket will keep me dry and( with fleece underneath) warm. It's easy to stuff in the bottom of a day pack or behind the seat of my pickup. I 've owned versions of this jacket for more than 20 years and have only been disappointed when it wears out.

I 've been watching a number of reviews prior to purchasing this rain jacket, and finally pulled the trigger when I had an opportunity to try it on in store. The mustard colour is great in person, but what I 'm really impressed with is the build quality. All of the reviews talk highly of how well constructed this jacket is, and I ca n't disagree. What I was n't expecting was how the slight stretch in the jacket would clearly separate it from other similar rain jackets from other brands. It makes it a very comfortable rain jacket. My only knock? Sizing is really confusing and I 'm glad I was able to try it on in store. Based on the size guide, I would have purchased an XXL online. I have a 46 '' chest( 6' 4 '' and around 225 lbs). My Abisko trail fleeces are XXL. My Abisko Midsummer jacket is an XL. I bought a L. This is n't without precedent: I have a Greenland jacket in a L, and it fits fine. You might say `` you 'll never be able to layer with it! '' Well... I went looking for a thick fleece in store and had it under the jacket and it fit fine. So yeah- this jacket fits large. I think I would have been fine with an XL, but I like the slightly slimmer fit of the L.

I got this jacket a month ago and since I ’ ve used it during heavy rain in the city and during winter mountain climbs. I can say I ’ ve had no issues with the waterproofing. In the winter mountain, this jacket became irreplaceable for me. Being so light and breathable is such a game changer- I sweat much less, less need to stop for water and I feel much less exhausted. It ’s packing small, so it ’s super easy to fit it in the external pockets of a backpack, so you don ’ t waste any unnecessary time- game changer when you are in the winter mountain. The pockets are awesome and the jacket is super comfortable. I was worried about the Velcro on the cuffs, since a lot of jackets will loosen and let air in between the cuff and your gloves, but the Velcro works super well and gives you a solid locked- in feeling. Last but not least, it beats off strong winds like it ’s nothing. This feature helps you dress lighter, move faster, and get tired less. This jacket improved my performance per unit of effort in the mountain, which is essential since most mistakes happen out of exhaustion. Really happy about my purchase!

The single best jacket I 've ever owned. The fabric is simply a slam dunk and the technical design is on point. Enough room for movement and the sleeves are long enough to use it on a bike aswell. I would like to see a jacket with the cut and features of the Skogso Jacket in the Eco- Shell fabric. I would then have a jacket to wear all year, anywhere.

[ I took this coat on hikes, sledding with kids in snowstorms, and rainy walks with the dog. The jacket seems to absorb a little water but I 've always been dry underneath. A great alternative to gore- tex without the environmental implications. My only qualm is the lack of side- pockets which I knew about before but is still a nuisance. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.

This is the best shell jacket I have ever owned! On a recent trip to Paris, I wore it for 7 straight days, and experienced high winds and rain every day. The jacket kept me warm, it is thoroughly water resistant and I felt ´dry ’ inside, with my Keb hoodie. Furthermore the jacket is ´quiet ’ and I like the pocket location and ventilation options. Would buy again in a heartbeat. It ’s an investment!

[ This is exactly the jacket I needed: a waterproof shell that has good thickness to it. I 'm a 5'11 '' woman and the men's jacket fits my frame perfectly! I have broader shoulders than an average woman and find that, as a result, arm length, in regular women's sizes, suffers. Nicely made, quality material. Backpacking requires the forethought to bring only what you need as weight becomes a significant factor with extended trips. This Helium jacket is a game changer when it comes to weather protection. The weightless feel and bombproof protection it provides makes it a companion on not only backpacking trips, but day hikes, after dinner walks, bike rides and simply dinner outings when weather is sketchy. I 'm 5' 9 '' and the Medium is perfect for me- allowing for a midweight layer underneath.

[ As an outdoor enthusiast, weight is a critical factor in my gear selection, and the Men's GORE- TEX® Mitre Peak Waterproof Jacket( 2024) delivers impressively in this regard. This jacket offers exceptional waterproofing and breathability without unnecessary bulk, making it a perfect companion for alpine climbing, hiking, or any technical outdoor activity. One of its standout features is the highly functional pocket design—the spacious, elevated pockets remain accessible even while wearing a harness, which is a game- changer for climbers and mountaineers. The adjustable helmet- compatible hood provides excellent coverage without limiting visibility, ensuring protection against harsh weather. Additionally, the underarm ventilation zippers allow for great airflow, preventing overheating during intense activity. Overall, this jacket balances durability, weather protection, and lightweight performance perfectly. If weight matters to you as much as it does to me, this is an excellent choice!

[ Marmot has a long history of making high quality outerwear. And this history continues with Mitre peak Jacket. I have been a fan of Marmot since my first jacket( the Alpine Light Jacket) which has been with me for most of my outdoor adventures into the backcountry and high altitude peak. I still remember when the 10, 000 meter parka was the one of the best pieces of equipment a mountaineer could have for protection at very cold, high altitudes. Not sure if they still make that. Back to the review of this jacket. I like the fact that it is does not come with a liner so this makes it more versatile for layer. Not sure of the durability for and longevity as the material is lighter and therefor repeated use with pack straps and harnesses may wear stress areas out as they are not reinforced. I have yet to find rainy enough day where the jacket has not performed. Hopefully this waterproofing with continue over the life time of the jacket. My biggest issue now with the latest products from all makers( Patagonia, The North Face, etc) is the delamination of the gortex material after a few years of use. Hopefully they have resolved this issue. Looking forward to many years of use with this jacket. Check in with me in a few years, I will let you know how this performed

There's a reason you see so many really favorable reviews of this jacket. It checks all the boxes. Packable, super light, blocks the wind, repels mist or light rain and looks great. Pull it out of your kit at a windy summit or the top of a pitch. If you are slim and athletic, it fits true to your usual size. I have a paunchy `` dad bod '', so I had to go up one size for midriff room. You wo n't have to, though. [ I like the length and weight of this raincoat, and think it will be great for spring, summer, and fall travel. I have n't had an opportunity to wear it in the rain, but holding my arm under the faucet gives me confidence that it really is waterproof! The zipper glides smoothly in both directions. My only objection is that there needs to be a cell phone pocket, please.
