[ I was heading to Alaska to visit my brother and I needed a better suited jacket for the elements. I ’ d tried this in at a local store but they did not offer and prints. The fit was perfect too. So I did a bit of research and found it with you! Perfect all the way around. I do ski a bit so this was perfect for that. I was t sure I would need this for Alaska but as luck would have it the temperature really dropped and it even snowed. I was quite cozy and looked great too. Two of my favorite things is the soft inner cuffs and the fleece inner collar. When you get it all zipped up it ’s cost on your face! Hopefully I ’ ll ski this season and put the jacket to a real test. The jacket does run small so I bought one size up.

I bought the Lawernce Jacket and matching pants in Alpine Green and when I wear them together I get asked if I work for the forestry service so maybe I should have gone for another color. It's a great jacket with lots of pockets in the right spot. I appreciate the cell phone leash and the goggle whips built in. It would be nice if the front zipper pull was a bit bigger or had a cord on it to make zipping up with gloves on easier like the pocket zippers have. And the collar could be a bit roomier to Zip up when wearing a neck gator.

The jacket is warm by itself but the added heat makes it my daily jacket now as I go skiing on subzero temperatures. It's warm enough on# 2 setting and so far the batteries have lasted for the 4 hours I was outside with still some life in them. On# 3 you will get heat for just over 2 hours. LOVE this jacket! I 'm 6'2 and bought XL for extra movement and layering when snowboarding. Pros: The synthetic fill is the best I 've ever felt, I honestly thought it was down fill. I love that it stays warm and holds its lofty puffiness when in wet snow conditions. My other Sitka down jacket loses its loft quickly in the arms and back when I start perspiring from a morning of hiking or snowboarding. But's it's so soft a cozy. I often just wear a t- shirt or thin base layer under it if I 'm just staring around a camp fire. It's very warm and the hand and chin backings are super soft. Cons: My only complaint is that it does n't have a well placed hood draw string for windy conditions. The single draw string on the hood is more a retention string for side to side movement of your head. And the outer fabric is very delicate, I know its gon na snag and tear on a tree branch one of these days.... I personally wish it was a little bit thicker like on my wife's Expedition down jacket.

I love the little fleece details in the hood, at your face, and in the hand pockets. It ’s very warm, and I can choose to layer( or not) and still be warm. I kept my normal size small due to my broader shoulders and wanting it to be able to wear a sweater without my shoulders feeling restricted. It definitely is boxy, but I don ’ t pick coats based on that, but all the other features like staying warm. I recently moved back to Michigan after living in South Florida for 17 years. I knew I would need a solid coat to be comfortable this winter. This coat is a dream, literally like wearing a warm cloud. I love it. I got a size Large, to give me extra room to add even more layers- I am happy I did. Medium would fit perfect but I like it being more roomy and comfortable.

I absolutely love this jacket — it's hands down the best one I own, and I have a lot. The red color is eye- catching, and it's incredibly comfortable and flexible, not stiff or heavy even in the coldest temperatures. Living in the Northeast, I 'm often outside in freezing weather, and this jacket keeps me warm without feeling bulky. After a couple of years, it still looks great, and I get tons of compliments on it. It's easy to care for too: I wash it on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and air fluff it on low heat, and it comes out looking like new. Definitely a five- star product!

As a native Chicagoan, I ’ ve endured some frigid temperatures( as cold as- 20F/- 28C with the windchill) and this parka is my secret weapon. It ’s roomy enough to fit multiple thick layers underneath and super comfortable. The hood helps shield your face from heavy winds and doesn ’ t easily collapse. It ’s a little bulky, but that ’s to be expected for the type of coat it is. It is legitimately the warmest coat I own. I ’ m obsessed. I highly recommend this parka to anyone who has to deal with routinely frigid winters. It ’s worth the cost.

[ Been wearing the jacket in temps ranging from 5 to 30 degrees and windy conditions. Roomy enough to add down layers as needed and the material of the jacket really cuts the wind. Skied in wet snowstorms and stayed dry. Fit is great for a curvy shape and not tight through the hips.

I use this as an everyday jacket for plain clothes LE work in PA. It is insanely warm for how light weight it is. Water repellency and wind resistance is excellent. Excellent balance between weight and warmth. Only downfall is the length makes it difficult to get to a sidearm when zipped up.

Impressive 3- 1 after wearing out my North Face 3- 1 system I have wore for years. Bought this to replace it and I am happy with what my research settled upon. Love the zip out silk liner as a stand alone lite duty jacket, a nd the shell works excellent as a rain cover. This is a great system for a beginner or an expert in the field or out on the town. Size runs true and is a little longer than expected but I did not mind the extra length to cover my hind end.

I 've had my RG foray for a little over 3 years and it's been pretty good to me. I 've mostly worn the puffer by itself in cool weather. There's little wind resistance to it, so be warned. Otherwise it's a good standalone layer on even the coldest days for short exposure times. I 've had to wear the jacket on several rainy days, and the full system during an Easter trip to the UK in' 23. Scotland, Wales, and northern England are n't known for great weather in March and this trip was no exception. We endured near constant wind and periodic rain& sleet. When we went to London it rained for several hours one day and we were in it at its hardest. The fabric shed water well without getting soaked, as I 'd expect from OR. All in all, it's a good buy.

These bibs were fantastic for my snowboarding trip in Breckenridge. These bibs were extra flexible and did n't make me feel as constrained as other bibs have. They fit well and were very comfortable for riding from first chair to last. We ended up having a pretty wide range of temperatures from 40 to- 10. The vents did a great job of keeping me cool on the warmer days, and I only had to add a single layer of thermal underwear( top and bottom) to be comfortable on the- 10 days!

So far, so good! Living right outside the Middlesex Fells, the weather can be incredibly variable year round, and this jacket handles the rain and wind well. I 've found this jacket has managed to keep me warm when it's cold out, but also not overheat me in the event the sun is out because of how light the jacket is. The vents also help a lot with that, too. Definitely recommend!
