You will not regret buying these shorts! I needed to refresh my running collection and ordered several different styles of shorts to try. I returned some much more expensive shorts( very popular brand name) to the store and decided to browse around while I was there. I am so glad I stumbled upon these shorts! They are the most comfortable and best fitting I 've ever owned. The knit waistband is perfection-- does n't dig in, is high- waisted enough that it looks cute with crop tops. The body the shorts are a very lightweight material-- if I had to dig for a negative, it's that they are SO light and airy and sometimes when I 'm running at the gym, I 'll just do a quick glance over my shoulder to make sure I 'm covered. I always am, but they are that breathable and light. But not see- through or sheer. I did buy black and the dark red and ca n't confirm the see- through qualities of the lighter colors. For size reference, I am 5' 6 '', 138#, a 6 in most pants and I bought a medium. I probably could 've gone with a small, but I do n't like things to cut into my waist. The waistband does n't stretch out with wear, so I think the size is perfect.

The shorts might run a little small. I tend to wear the L pants but got the XL shorts and they work well for me. I like the internal liner, but still wear by boxer briefs with them. I really need to try them without the boxes and see how they work. The pockets are a good size, but anything in them will swing as you run or walk fast. the draw string come in handy to tie the shorts off and hold them up.

Great all- around shorts! I love the fabric of these — the nylon has a crisp( almost stiff at first, then softening over time) and substantial feel. These hold up to moderate abrasion better than drapey polyester shorts. They ’ re perfect for rock climbing. The wide leg opening and stretch makes them great for lifting or running too. I ’ ve even gone swimming in them( just note they are unlined). I love the 5 '' inseam, but I do wish the front rise and back rise were an inch higher. The embroidered logo is a nice touch.

[ I really like the way these shorts fit…the waistband is really comfortable and the liner is a great feature too. I have used them to workout as well as when out and about — they really are what is advertised. If I had a suggestion it would be to add a back pocket — the front pockets are good and the zippered one is great for my wallet or keys, but my phone doesn ’ t fit in either one. All that said, while not cheap, they are worth the cost — so much so that I plan to buy two more pair and use them all summer.

[ Upon trying on the Nike Sportswear Essential Woven Trend Short, the fit and feel are appropriate and accurate sizing. The length sits nicely inches above the knee and is comfortable. Design is a mix of athletic leisure and street- wear. Seems very versatile to wear in many different occasions. The fabric seems strong, durable and comfortable. I am able to move easily and comfortably throughout the day. I like the way it sits on my waist but still has room so it ’s not restrictive of my movement. The waist is also comfortable and stretchy. Some things I ’ d consider changing would be changing the string around the waste to something more stable and possibly adding some type of dongle at the end of the string for aesthetic effect. I ’ d also would ’ ve liked zipper pockets to help contain my items better when working out.

I bought the salmon pink color in S. It's very eye- catching and bold and probably you should to pair it with a white or gray top. I love the pockets with zippers, which make this product similar to much more expensive branded shorts. I have not washed them yet; let's see how they last this summer. Warning that the shorts are true to size. The S is ideal for at most a 30- 31 '' waist. It would probably be best on a 29 '' I 'd say. The inseam of 7 '' is just right since the 5 '' version from VRST is kind of like underwear in my opinion.
