Everything looked good with the exception that 5 of the 7 paracord zipper attachments were missing. Normally it would not be an issue but the zipper pulls are pretty small so it would have been nice to have the paracord attachments that they are supposed to come with. I dumped my big backpack years ago and traveled light with a gray Herschel which seemed just the right size. Then I found myself with a book, laptop, sandwich( cause you 've got to bring your own food on planes nowadays), and electronic cables and batteries until the Hershel was running out of space. I did n't want to go back to a big backpack but wanted something just a little bigger. This works! It's small enough to fit under an airline seat( see photo) but bigger and more organized on the inside. Plus my gray canvas Herschel showed dirt and stains whereas this one is jet black and has a slick surface that can be wiped off. It feels a little bigger and stiffer on the back but I 'm fine with that. You 're not going to get compliments with this one because it is plain black but it's super functional and with a lifetime guarantee I 'm not planning on getting another backpack for a long time.

[ This is a very well made duffel. I love the colors, and it appears to be durable which I like. However the opening on the top is shaped in a way that it does n't stay open on its own. It does n't fold over nicely, instead every time you reach inside you have to use two hands, one hand to keep the top open and the other hand to get what you want.

We absolutely love this bag as our personal item( as long as it's not overstuffed, it fits easily under the seat) to bring our toddler's plane snacks, toys, tablet, and other travel essentials along with a smattering of items we want to keep on us instead of checking through.
