This is my first day pack with internal frame. It makes it very comfortable to wear, balancing the weight down onto my hips( even unbelted and even wearing it on one shoulder) and the frame with mesh back keeps my back cooler even in 93 degree humid weather. The pockets are n't ideal. The top front pocket is very small( and if you put a heavy phone there it is unbalanced). The internal( water or laptop) pocket is deep- so anything small put in there is lost to posterity( beware). The water bottle pockets on the side fit a smaller water bottle easily but tougher with anything larger. I used it as a carry on( personal item) and no complaints from the flight attendants about how it fit under the seat in front of me, though the top did stick out a little and I found it to be a bit in the way of stretching my lets. It fit a ton of stuff- I had an umbrella and rain jacket, wallet, cosmetic size bag with electronic cables and earbuds, cosmetic bag with actual cosmetics, book, magazine, two journals, an airport shopping bag( small), and small cosmetic bag with meds in there. There is a helpful clip to attach your neck pillow! It also has a rain cover in a pouch at the bottom that was very useful in a downpour, if a little hard to extract and put in place on the fly.

I like that is has additional smaller pockets on the handles and straps to keep small things like wallets, cash, or cards dry and separate from the rest of the items you 're holding. the arm and waist straps are seemingly strong and easy to adjust to proper fit, and they hold the pack in place very securely. I was searching for a duffle for its soft body vs any other luggage to have something easy to pack( big and roomy) and easy to grab and carry( handles on the sides of this bag, the backpack straps, or top carry straps!). I use it to pack for weekends at my partner's and future plans and it fits SO much!! The duffle is designed to fold into itself for storage as well and the wrapped outer part becomes a pocket accessible from in and outside of the duffle. This 45 L pathway 2 backpack is likely my favorite in a lot of ways. The waist strap is great with good cushioning, preferable imo to the current sytle of thin straps. My husband and I were trying to decide between the Base Camp Voyager Duffel and the original Base Camp Duffel, and we ultimately decided on the Voyager version, and we are very happy with the decision. We are using the bag mostly for weekend or road trips where we can both pack our belongings in the same bag instead of rugged trips( ex: camping or backpacking) or long trips where bags may need to be checked. The material for the Voyager is not as thick and sturdy as the original version, but it's still plenty sturdy. We are also not rough on our bags though. I the backpack straps, which can easily be removed with buckles and tucked away whereas with the original version, the backpack straps have to be looped through and are more cumbersome. It is also comfortable to wear as a backpack for short periods. The one downside to the bag is that the internal organization zipped pockets do n't have a lot of room or stretch, so you ca n't fit a lot of items in there. I also wish there were internal compression straps to keep the contents in position since they can shuffle around a lot when not fully packed. Overall, we love the bag, and it has become our go- to bag for our trips!

This is exactly what I wanted out of a small backpack. Minimal pockets, but enough for what you need for a day out. Works great for work/commuting/gym/carryon. I mainly carry my bottle, an iPad, and a couple wires. Sometimes throw an extra shirt in there too if I ’ m going to the gym. If you ’ re using it for more than a day, I would go bigger, BUT for an everyday bag, this is perfect.

The removable compression and chest straps are awesome because I can adjust the bag to my use of the day. For a 22L bag it feels VERY roomy to me. I love the flip pocket because it holds the main compartment of the bag open at all times when it's flipped open. The bag holds all my gear for these activities perfectly. Great bag for a Day Trip!

This is a great bag. Although it doesn ’ t have a dedicated laptop pocket, my computer is really easy toe grab from the main compartment. For some people, it might not have enough organization, but it has more room when you needed. I have other bag that has ton of organization, but it just can not fit a lot of stuff. The side handles are incredible, you will wish every bag includes that. I really love it and recommend it!

The bag gets a lot of bag reviews for being small, but that ’s why I like it. It ’s a great bag for a day hike where all one needs is a hoodie, water, sunscreen, battery pack, and other small necessities. It ’s gone on quite a few day hikes with me and works great. Not so big that there ’s a ton of extra room and weight, but just right for the day. I do wish the zipper opened it up a little more, but other than that I love the bag.

Different sized bags are for different needs. i did not want to a full load on my back, hence, i went with the smaller bag, and if i need more space, i use a separate hand carry bag like a tote or a small duffel. the key is weight distribution. so it is what it is. a very solid, well constructed with waterproof or resistance capability. The side zip for rambler bottle is great, and also love the other side zip for access into the backpack. overall very satisfied.

I hiked across Spain for 500 miles over 35 days carrying this pack. I had NO issues and it was so comfortable. I carried about 13- 15 lbs with a water bladder. Only wish the water bladder nozzle had a cover as every time I set the pack down my nozzle touched the ground- good for my immune system! I just feel so grateful for my pack. One of your sales people on the phone recommended it after I tried several other models and sizes. Could n't be happier. One of the zippers broke before my trip but it was n't key.
