I 'm a big jacket person, I have one for just about every weather situation and this is my go to in the spring and summer. It's really effective at blocking wind while I 'm biking, I 'll layer a fleece if it's chilly. During the summer it's the perfect weight for cool nights and keeping bugs off of you without overheating, it has light water resistance so this is definitely not a `` rain jacket '' but it does dry super fast if it gets wet. It packs down very small and also the perfect travel companion.

I purchased one of these in Copenhagen 4 years ago, and have worn it on the beach in Oregon at least 500 times. There are no signs of fraying, material is still strong, zippers work great. If it rains, or excess wind demands it, the hood fits well and tightens with clever elastic locking adjusters. The length is just right for me, not too long like some. Chest pocket is perfect for keeping my wallet/ID. I have collected rocks over the years and just put them in the side pocket, and they are still strong. Light weight but excellent in windy conditions. I do n't need to replace it but after 4 years it's looking a bit faded so I ordered another one in a different color and it's on the way. Expect the new one is the same great jacket. Thank you Fjall Raven. In my entire life I do n't think I 've worn a single jacket so much, and I 've never taken the time to go online and praise a piece of clothing but this deserves that.

[ This jacket caught my eye because of its' bright colors and classic, yet uniquely new design. I love the bugaboo embroidery on the back as well. But the biggest selling point for me with this jacket is its' versatility. I am easily kept warm in New York winter with the full coat, but on days when it's milder, I love that I can easily just take off the blue outer shell and only use the inner piece-- which is also a great stand alone jacket. It fits true to size and looks like how it does on the website. I 'm 5'3 '' and 135 lbs and bought a Medium and it fits great. Not oversized or too tight anywhere. But it is form fitting. So if you like a baggier look and feel, I 'd go up a size. The quality of material and the zippers is excellent, and it's really easy to put the jacket back together if you choose to separate the layers. The only things that would make this jacket better for me is if there was a hood for the rain/snow, although the high neck helps a lot. Aside from that I wish the zippers did n't zip from the bottom up in case something falls out; but to be fair, nothing has fallen out before.

I do n't know what dark wizard lord Cotopaxi made a deal with to find this space material, but it is the softest thing I 've ever had on my body, and I 've had literal baby faces on my body before. It's so comfortable I want to wear it even when it's crazy hot outside, and unsurprisingly it's cool and cozy even then. I bought one in all three colors available and no I 'm not embarrassed about that in the least.

Solid layer that keeps the wind off of you, the waffle grid fleece on the back allows for breathability when exerting yourself physically. Thumb loops are a small detail but very valuable. If you need more warmth out of a layer like this I 'd recommend the Keb Fleece Hoodie and it would n't be a bad idea to have both in your closet!

This is a great item. It's warm, and a little heavier than a normal fleece, so it has some wind- stopping ability. However, I 'm a taller person( 6'5 ''), and although the sleeves were a perfect length, the torso was too short. I had to return the jacket, and was extremely bummed that there was n't a XXL available for exchange.

I love the Buck Fleece. I got it in the Fall in the Laurel Green color and wore it all throughout the winter. One of my favorite features about it is the collar. It never loses its structure. It's a warm, cozy sweater but the collar, leather details of the logo and zipper, and the chest pocket all give it a nice look. It's great as a layering piece if you 're going to be in cold temps or as an outer layer if you 're in moderate temps. I 'm a 5'5 '', 110 lb woman and I got the size XS. It's relaxed in fit and a tad long in the sleeves on me but I just cuff them up. I would highly recommend this fleece for all.

There are many quarter- zip for outdoor activity, but there are none like this. I have owned many different types of half- zips/quarter- zips, and various other pull overs, but they have all been outrageously expensive and made of inferior materials. Function: The wool makes this quarter zip worth the price and worth the space in your luggage and carry- on for travel or daypack/backpack for camping and hiking. It is very comfortable and not itchy; the wool will keep you much warmer than a 100% polyester construction and it will breathe! Additionally, it is moderately to above average in the durability category. Fit: The fit is great. It is close to the body but not slim. Most quarter zips that I own are either so slim it gives it an athleisure feel or so boxy you are down right swimming in it. This is a great in between. I find myself wearing this pretty much everywhere with the combination of fit and function. Overall: prAna definitely makes quality products and this is premiere for me.
