I find the 7 ” inseam to be perfect for showing a bit of thigh but not feeling like it is too short that I need to pull my shorts down on my hips. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

My favorite for trail runs and hikes. The length to mid knee is perfect. I sized one up because I like shorts with some room, but even so they have what I 'd call a `` normal '' fit. Best fitting shorts I 've found. Just like the illustrations. Most shorts tend to look like a skirt on each leg for us thin people. Disappointed that these have been discontinued.

Great shorts, great for hiking or around town. When on long hikes best to wear nuthuggers or your balls might have excess swing which may lead to some discomfort.

These shorts are great. I wear them while doing mostly everything. They are a nice strong material and a great fit! I got the 7 in inseam size 32. Im about 170 and 5 10.

Excellent fit and cut. Maybe run a little tight in the waist and hips, slim through the leg. The new AP Active fabric is amazing. Its super soft, breathable, has great stretch. I am giving 4* because the front hip pockets are awkwardly short. I have a normal sized mobile phone and it wo n't fit in those pockets( or the rear pockets) vertically. Also, I wonder about the durability of the fabric long term. That being said, I am going to get another pair. I 'd buy even more if these were a tad heavier and with 5 pocket styling.
