These are the training shorts I 've always wanted. I generally hate shorts with liners because the elastic in the leg holes is irritating and annoying. I usually opt for linerless shorts and athletic boxer briefs. These are everything in one. The benefit of these shorts is that the outer shorts are attached to the inner liner. The pockets on these shorts stays put. I have another pair of Nike running shorts and the pocket liner pokes out the bottom when I put my phone in there. So annoying. The only thing I 'd change is the advertised phone pocket in the back is much too small for my iPhone Max. Otherwise these are perfect.

Great shorts, light, good length( I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ”). The more I run the more I want shorts that cover what they need to cover but otherwise get out of the way. There ’s a decent sized zippered pocket in the back which I don ’ t always need but it ’s also not noticeable so it ’s a well designed feature. I found myself typically running in an old pair of 5 ” PT shorts that I got issues from the Navy. I thought 5 ” was sufficient. Then I tried a pair of the 3 ” breakaways and my goodness, what a difference. These 3 ” breakaways make you feel faster, stronger, and they look stylish. The added bonus of the 3 ” length is that the shorts don ’ t feel restrictive or obtrusive particularly during long distances runs. These shorts feel, well, freeing. I bought a pair of these when they first came out a couple of years ago and always saved them for my `` dress '' shorts. I always looked forward to wearing them as they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. I finally decided to replace my lined Breeze shorts with the active breeze shorts because they are just so much more comfortable than the Breeze short. The extra comfort comes from the difference in the waste band. The old Breeze short had a typical stretch liner but the new active breeze short has more of smooth band where you do n't feel the waist band against the skin, you dont actually know you are wearing them.
