I was not a huge fan of the low rise versions for coverage reasons and upon trying these on I fell in love. They have slightly more coverage, are super lightweight, beautiful colors, and they are great for strength training and running. Overall a great purchase for the spring/ summer. I ’ d recommend going a size up because they do fit slightly small but also because of the slit in the leg it would be easy to get away with going true to size if you are fine with a tighter waist band.

For the gym they are equally good and the zip front pockets are ideal in for phone/ locker key etc. style wise love them too- not too tight or loose and a great length. I purchased 3 pairs and frequently use the black ones when PTing clients too. Previously used Patagonia strider pro shorts but these have taken the crown for me. Some reviews complain about the weight? Never heard such an unnecessary criticism in my life. These shorts have 7 pockets, 3 of which are zipped. They are a classic pair of featherweight marathon shorts. They are utility trail shorts. I ’ ll look out for more colours for sure!

Great shorts, light, good length( I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ”). The more I run the more I want shorts that cover what they need to cover but otherwise get out of the way. There ’s a decent sized zippered pocket in the back which I don ’ t always need but it ’s also not noticeable so it ’s a well designed feature. They feature two side pockets which work well for keys or a wallet when using casually, but I wouldn ’ t using them for anything valuable while running. There is a zip close back pocket that is large enough for your phone but not too big to where it will bounce around. I have worn these with leggings underneath and on their own and had no issues with chafing or hot spots. The drawcord allows a custom fit and stays tied even during my longest runs( 10+ miles). These are the training shorts I 've always wanted. I generally hate shorts with liners because the elastic in the leg holes is irritating and annoying. I usually opt for linerless shorts and athletic boxer briefs. These are everything in one. The benefit of these shorts is that the outer shorts are attached to the inner liner. The pockets on these shorts stays put. I have another pair of Nike running shorts and the pocket liner pokes out the bottom when I put my phone in there. So annoying. The only thing I 'd change is the advertised phone pocket in the back is much too small for my iPhone Max. Otherwise these are perfect.

I wore these for the first time on a 7 mile run today and I decided mid- run to order another pair as soon as I got home. These are my favorite new running leggings for warmer weather! I had gels and keys in the side pockets and phone in the back pocket and everything was super secure, the leggings did n't ride down or move during the run at all, which I find usually happens with a phone pocket. I wish I had these for the half marathon I ran last week! I love that I do n't need to wear a running belt with these since they hold so much. The leggings are super comfortable, flattering, and did n't need any stretch or wear- in period. I 've tried many pairs of cropped running leggings over the years and they either do n't have pockets, pockets are n't big enough, they ride down, the thigh band is too tight, etc.- these do n't have any of those issues!

Bought this 8 ” short after loving the 5 ” but wanting a longer option- the pockets are amazing, and the shorts never budge or ride up, even after 20 miles. The screenprinted logo is peeling off after just a few washes, and I wish this short came in a 6 ” or 7 ” middle option, but overall fantastic gear.
