My only complaint is that the actual color of the shorts dont match what is shown in the pictures. The gray ones for example look like a lighter gray but in person are very dark. I find this to be a common pattern with Nike ’s products. Maybe they use a filter on their photos and edit the lighting which in turn changes the color in the photos. These are great shorts. I mainly use them for running and functional training but they are so comfy i even wear them around the house casually. I love shorts that are a bit forgiving around the waist and dont feel like they are suffocating me. The Nike Stride shorts tend to make me feel that way. Also the liner is a great size on these shorts and actually fit, much wider than the stride shorts. I think if you ’ re built wider or maybe your a body builder type with more muscle, then these might be a better fit. I wear Medium in shorts and pants in general and I ordered a Medium in these.

I was not a huge fan of the low rise versions for coverage reasons and upon trying these on I fell in love. They have slightly more coverage, are super lightweight, beautiful colors, and they are great for strength training and running. Overall a great purchase for the spring/ summer. I ’ d recommend going a size up because they do fit slightly small but also because of the slit in the leg it would be easy to get away with going true to size if you are fine with a tighter waist band.

Favorite shorts I own. I have worn these a handful of times and they are I don ’ t have one negative thing to say about them! I ’ ll wear them on runs and just keep them on for whatever activity or errands I do after that. The zippered pocket in the back is great. It is big enough to hold an iPhone 13 pro but not too big where it ’s moving around a lot. The zipper opens and closes smoothly without any snags. Definitely want more of these!

[ Aside from being slightly snug( not enough to not wear), these are great for my casual runs. The shorts are just the right length to not get in the way, yet no rubbing or chaffing. The hidden zippered pockets are great for hiding money or an ID. They are n't the warmest if you are running on a chilly day, but they are n't letting me freeze either. They do later nice too so I can wear thin compression tights underneath without issue. The color is masculine too and matches most of my clothing. I 've really got no complaints comfort wise, so just know to size up a little bit.

[ I have about 25 miles in these shorts and I love them. They ’ re comfortable and light. I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ” and the 5 ” length is great for my body- type and preference. The pockets are useful and out of the way. There ’s one zippered pocked in the back, four elastic pockets that sit towards the back of my hips, and one internal pocket. The elastic pockets are great for quick grabs like gels. I ’ m usually a size 34 waist in my pants and the medium shorts are a great fit. They don ’ t sag or shift much at all when tied down. Overall these shorts feel minimal while still providing plenty of options to carry basics.

Outstanding update. I ’ ve had multiple pairs of prior versions( incl the ones with the impossible side pockets). The fit and materials are A- 1 this time. The waistband is dynamite and the new side pockets definitely borrow from the Patagonia Striders( that ’s a good thing IMO) and work well. My only concern is the sizing in terms of whether you ’ re a small, medium or XL, whatever. I ’ m 5 ’ 9 ”, 150, 30 ” waist and I need the XS? The smalls last year in the old version were falling off my waist? I ’ m a small in every brand under the sun but need an XS in this short. It ’s odd. I worry if I need another pair that they ’ ll be out of XS like they were last year when I burned out an old pair. Fantastic short that I will buy more of, just not understanding sizing.

I love Brooks clothing! The material is incredibly light and very silky feeling. The waistband is important, and this one is great! The fit is also great. I only had one problem which was a deal breaker for me. There are no pockets, just 2 pouch like places on each side. I was not comfortable running with anything I was not comfortable losing in these pouches. I also like regular pockets if I wear these to run errands and such.

I could run, lift, and cross train and never have to do the annoying pull down that I have to do with my other high- end brand shorts. I usually do a medium in biker shorts but the small actually fit perfect on my pear shaped body. They are comfortable to wear on runs. The seams on the inside bottom legs are seamless. There is physically no seam that I see. There is also a clear grippy material on the bottom of the legs that is awesome for keeping the shorts from riding up. It ’s smooth and not itchy or irritating. The pockets could be a little wider, but they are super deep, which makes up for the width. I love that! [ I bought these for cross training, but have worn them mostly for running lately. I tend to stay away from the 2 in 1 for running, but have really enjoyed these! They are very comfortable and breathable. I live in the south and they held up well in extreme heat and were very breathable and did not get soaked or heavy with sweating. In the gym, they stood up to cross training and lifting heavy without any issues. Will definitely be adding a few more of these to my rotation!

Definitely buy up 1 size. These shorts are great but they definitely run small. I wear a Medium in shorts but these were so tight that they dug into my skin. I replaced them with a Large and they fit great. I bought the 5 '' in black and pink. The only thing that I do n't like about these shorts is the drawstring. They are so thin that it comes out of the wash tangled and twisted tight every time. It's annoying but not that big of a deal.

These VRST running shorts are incredibly comfortable! Constructed from a very thin, lightweight fabric, they almost feel as if you 're only wearing briefs. They have a sewn- in liner that does n't feel like typical, swim- trunk liners, the material is so soft you wont even know you 're wearing them. Pockets are deep enough to hold a wallet, keys and a phone. The shorts I received lie just above the knee, at 5' 9, I love that... they dont make me look shorter. I 'm 250lbs and the XXL fit perfect. [ These nice 2- in- 1 shorts are great for runners who want a little extra coverage, like me. The wide waistband is comfortable and not too tight, while the ventilation holes just underneath add nice breathability. Be aware that the tights are quite thin, almost to the point of being sheer. I don ’ t mind that, and I think it will help when running in hotter temperatures. But we will see how the fabric holds up. My biggest complaint is the pocket size on the tights. It can barely hold my phone and only with a lot of effort. These probably won ’ t be my casual go- to shorts as a result. But for 2- in- 1 running shorts, these check the boxes I look for and I ’ d recommend them. I did size up and would suggest that for those in- between sizes or wanting a more relaxed fit.

They have a drawstring made of the outside shorts material. I picked `` slightly small '', and I am referring to the waist, not the legs or backside. I normally choose a Large, because I like the waist to be a tiny bit loose, but these are not loose in the waist at all. They are not too tight or uncomfortable for me, but if you are on the `` upper '' end of a size Large, then you might want to size up. The fabrics, both the inside and the outside, are very soft and nice- feeling. They feel thin without feeling `` cheap ''. These are good quality, I like them.

Nice simple shorts. Very versatile and the zipper pockets, which I feel are a must at this price point make for secure storage. Material seems similar in feel to the tech fleece line but for a cheaper price. The material is also cooler than tech fleece. I find these can be worn in temperatures above 80 degrees. Note the 7inch inseam, I ’ m am 6ft and the medium fit well but could feel a short compared to the regular tech fleece shorts

The liner on the inside is very comfortable and most importantly not restrictive. Wore these at the gym and felt amazing for leg day. [ Wow! Just ran 2 miles in these can honestly say I ’ m very pleased. I typically would never run in shorts due to chaffing but thought I would give these a try since they were advertised as sweat wicking. The shorts did not disappoint. During the run I did sweat quite a bit as you can see from armpits in pic and the shorts did not get wet one bit. I wore a size 0x and at first try on thought they were a big loser than I would like, but that loser fit played into comfortability. During my run I was extremely comfortable, did not have to tug on bottoms to pull them down or adjust fitting. They also have built in underwear, which is a plus. This is a piece you want regret, if your active, they perform exactly has advertised and if your looking to run errands comfortably you will still be stylish.

[ The first thing I noticed about these shorts are how light weight the fabric is. They fit true to size and I love the wide waist band. I am plus size and these are the best fitting loose athletic shorts j have found. The fabric feels super light, perfect for workouts or wearing out and about on hot days. My only complaint about these shorts is that the pockets are not big enough to hold my cell phone securely. It hangs out and falls out easily. That being said these are still my go to shorts.
