[ This jacket is pretty much everything you want it to be for a running coat or rain coat or everyday wear coat!:) It is so thin, lightweight and the material is very stretchy. I love that it's made of 75% recycled material and is also waterproof. Cool! My favorites about this coat are in the details though!! The sleeves have elastic so you can pull them up your arms and they stay. The zipper pulls all have a little extender on them for convenient use and there is an elastic hook to hang the coat by. Probably my favorite detail is the design of the hood pulls. You can pull your hood tight and lock it into place with a stopper. But even more awesome, the stopper is on a loop with a little blocking washer so your strings wo n't get lost in the holes of the hood during wear or washing. Amazing design!!! The only thing I would mention here is that I am a woman and this is a mens coat so the design is very straight; no room for hips at all- so I would suggest getting a womens style coat if you are at all curvy. For me I just tuck it under. Also for a men's small to fit me perfect makes me think it may run a bit small( as I think most Nike items do). Overall, highly recommend.

I travel a lot for work and carry a heavy back pack, I replaced my small umbrella with this jacket. It rolls up pretty small and is a lot lighter than the umbrella, which helps with reducing weight of having to lug around through my travels. The stylish look combined with the light weight stretchy feel makes this jacket stand alone in my collection that I 'll resort to for many occasions and not just for a cloudy rainy day. It's also not like any other typical rain coats, this one does n't make you feel like you 're wearing a plastic bag and make you all sweaty. So for the comfort, the feel and purpose, I do love this jacket and would definitely recommend.

I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. It is also roomy enough for layering underneath, and I enjoy the big pocket for storage in the back. 10/10 would recommend.

i use the Helium Rain Jacket in addition to a 700 fill goosedown esp. when i ride out into wilderness. while it will not protect against sheer downpours, it will if you 're under a tree! plus, in conjunction with the puffer i stay super warm and dry while packing small and light. imperative on a horse!

One of the best parts of this jacket is how well it holds up in gusty conditions. Even without layering heavily, I could feel noticeably less wind- chill than with my old softshell. I ’ ve worn it.. a lot…in many weather situations and it still looks brand new! Regarding others reports that it is “ stiff ” …this is only relative to other, less robust fabrics. Example, I have the Kaitum jacket also, which is considerably lighter and more flexible but also isn ’ t quite as warm and wind impermeable. I found the sizing to be pretty true to size. I scored mine on an end of season sale and literally couldn ’ t be happier. Would ’ ve been worth every penny at full price! I wear this in winter with a long sleeve shirt and in fringe seasons and it rocks em all. I ’ d buy with confidence!

I often prefer men's styles due to the straight cut without the flared out hips that most women's shirts/sweaters tend to have. I wear this hoodie as my jacket when temps are on the warmer side and as a mid layer under a jacket when temps are on the colder side. I will say it's very warm though. I can usually get away with wearing it in the low 50s to high 60's as my outer layer. I 'm a 5' 5 '', 110 lb female with a straight/slim build and I wear the XS. The sleeves are a tad long for me but I 'm used to it since I wear mostly men's clothing. I usually just cuff them back a little. I 'm also a big fan of the G1000 reinforcements from the elbow to the wrist. It's a nice look and gives the sweater extra durability. The leather logo/ending to the drawstrings is a nice touch too.

I really love this coat and all the small features that make it so nice. I love all the pockets, it actually fits a 1L water bottle. I love the little fleece details in the hood, at your face, and in the hand pockets. It ’s very warm, and I can choose to layer( or not) and still be warm. I kept my normal size small due to my broader shoulders and wanting it to be able to wear a sweater without my shoulders feeling restricted. It definitely is boxy, but I don ’ t pick coats based on that, but all the other features like staying warm. I really like how big the hood is, it actually fits both my head and a ski helmet, which is nice. I also love the length of the coat and how it ’s slightly longer than my waist. I appreciate the double zipper, when I get into the car I ’ ll unzip the bottom a touch so it ’s looser which makes any tightness when sitting down go away.

As a native Chicagoan, I ’ ve endured some frigid temperatures( as cold as- 20F/- 28C with the windchill) and this parka is my secret weapon. It ’s roomy enough to fit multiple thick layers underneath and super comfortable. The hood helps shield your face from heavy winds and doesn ’ t easily collapse. It ’s a little bulky, but that ’s to be expected for the type of coat it is. It is legitimately the warmest coat I own. I ’ m obsessed. I highly recommend this parka to anyone who has to deal with routinely frigid winters. It ’s worth the cost.

I love all of Fjallraven's stuff, and this item is no different. The wool makes a difference in the warmth level. Wearing this with a light puffer in the teens is still a warm experience. I 'm a large in their jackets and the medium fit for this fleece, but the large was more comfortable and still flattering. I 'm 5' 6, 145lbs curvy. Love this!

I have had this jacket for at least 2 years and it has held up well. I wear it throughout the year: at work( in the hospital), camping and just out and about. I wash it regularly and hang it up to dry. It still looks great with very minimal pilling. I would get another in a different color. I agree that it could be less itchy but I am not bothered by it. I have worn it layered under another jacket as well. For me, this is a great layering piece.

Bought this parka and did a ton of research on other brands as well. I wanted the most bang for my buck and I feel that this parka had the best quality and features for the cost! I love how it isn ’ t super tight on your body and overstimulating with other layers. It fits really well with thick base layers or thin layers underneath and greta for both cold and mild temps. Very durable thus far!

I love this coat. I bought this recently when temps were regularly in the low 20s to low 30s and with a base layer and mid layer, it was perfect. Love the pockets for storage but also ones at the waist for your hands. Nice to have the drawstring at the waist and hood for cinching. The only slight downside is the Velcro on the head to pull back the hood from drooping over your eyes is placed a little too high; I have the very bottom edge of the Velcro used to keep the fur just at the top of my eyesight, so I have a feeling at some point I may be amending this with my own attachable Velcro. Quality materials and well worth the price. The only thing I do n't like is the pockets... they 're mesh netting which does nothing to keep your hands warm and I 'm really confused as to why they would n't make the pockets out of a warmer material?

I was impressed with this jacket from the moment I received it. Even before wearing it, I could see that the attention to detail and quality is top- notch. The stitching, the inside seams, and the quality of materials all look and feel great right off the bat. I was not disappointed when I took this on my first rainy hike. Water beaded up nicely on the outside of the shell and the pit zips came in very handy as I started heating up. I really like that the material has a somewhat soft feel to it- its not slick like other rain jackets I 've worn in the past. The material is much quieter when moving as well. I also got several complements on the jacket from some fellow hikers( I have the Cenote version- I love the color combo!) My one wish is that that the hood brim had a little more heft to it. A slightly stiffer brim would be nice during heavy rain or windy conditions. Overall I highly recommend this jacket. Its lightweight, waterproof, and a great value given the outstanding quality and overall performance.

So, everyone loves a good hoodie, and this might be the perfect shoulder season hoodie. It's been a beautiful spring so far here in the PNW; cold in the mornings, but still kind of chilly in the afternoon. This hoodie is perfect for this weather. It's nice and warm in the morning, but does n't seem to over heat when the sun hits it. A perfect hoodie for around the fire or those early morning inconvenient coffee bike meetups. The only low point of the hoodie is that it's sizing is a little on the smaller side. Fit's a little more like an XL than a XXL Other than that, it might be my new favorite hoodie.

Arguably my favorite Fjallraven piece out there, this hoodie is perfect for just about any situation. Performs very well as a top or mid layer. You can wear it comfortably on mild/cooler days, or it acts as a perfect mid layer for skiing or any other alpine related activities for that matter. The waxed canvas patches on the shoulders, and overall composition of the hoodie, give it a good amount of water repellency. I sized up one size, since the fabric has a decent amount of stretch to it and sits a little closer to your skin than a traditional hoodie.

I 'm a large in everything, XL is too big. I saw online `` improved fit '' so I stopped in at a store in Cambridge, MA and tried it on and was super happy about the fit. It's now a mid- layer like it's supposed to be. I 'm very happy as I had to give my other one away to my nephew.

I love in Colorado so this is perfect for year round use because it's lightweight, will keep you dry in a light rain, is just warm enough, and I love the thumb holes. This jacket is an addition to the three other various Carhartts that I have hanging in my coat closet. I was needing something on the lighter side this time for doing some e- bike trail riding around metro Detroit and also something to match the camo paint scheme on my fat tire. This jacket's Moss color turned out being about as close to U. S. Army `` mean green '' as you could hope to get and I also really like the high zip neck and velcro adjustable sleeves. The fit was perfect too, as always. Since I have the sincere `` need for speed '', I was also duly impressed with how warm it was against the Spring windchill temps. I paired this jacket up also with some Carhartt fingerless gloves which is another story but the combo has worked out exceedingly well for riding. After all the accolades though, what stands out the most about this brand to me is that it was born in the City of Detroit for the tough, honest, hardworking man and wearing it, to quote Doc Holiday, kind of reminds me of me.
