I swear I ’ m getting an extra 15yrds. I have foot joy traditions and they come stock with spikes but they aren ’ t “ sticky ” enough. On a hot dry day, the spikes will do but I play a lot of early tee times so it ’s always wet. Once the spikes get clogged with mud they are pretty much useless so I decided to try a “ spikier ” cleat and I ’ m super happy. I 've been using Hardbites for years and I 've never lost even one. I 've read reviews and noticed some folks that have lost them, and I think I know why. You 're over tightening them and stripping the threads you cut in the rubber. Just tighten them until the screw head just touches the countersink. Then just snug them up. The rubber acts like the spring on a needle valve and holds the screw. I just check mine occasionally.
