I work outside, and finding comfortable shorts that are n't too short is definitely tricky. I would suggest sizing down, based on the size chart I needed a 2X, but I tried on the XL in store and they have PLENTY of room. I didn ’ t have high hopes for these( tbh i never buy nike because i just assume they dont make good running gear) but the magenta color short was calling for me. I sized up to a M even though the size chart says I should be a S, but i ’ m glad i sized up. These are EXCELLENT running shorts. The waist did n't fold over, even when i was sitting down. They did n't slide down during my 4 miles run/walk. I dont think i had to adjust the legs or pull the waist up even one time. There ’s no seem at the leg opening so i had NO chafing. I have always been a 6 ” inseam bike short gal, but i will be buying more 8 ” inseam shorts because of these. I want them in more colors! I think the only downside is that the side pockets are kind of small. I have the iPhone 13 mini, and it fits, but i dont think any larger of a phone could fit. I love the feel of the material and how they hug the skin without cutting off my circulation. I wear them during outdoor walks and in the gym. I have washed and put in the dryer but I would recommend for longevity to air dry only( or lay on top of a dryer). Perfect for long running! The pockets are amazing! I can hold 3 gels in each pocket. Then there is room for one in the back pocket too! You can also put a phone there if you want. The only issue is with the material. The softness makes the shorts very comfortable, but the inner thigh rubs the material down a bit. If you run super long, like I do, over time that material may wear thin and tear a small hole. At least it did for me. Otherwise, if you do n't marathon train, then you 're probably fine. I 'll probably buy another pair when I 'm back to running shorter races.
