I really need to try them without the boxes and see how they work. I have owned a pair of the Smith Summit Convertible Cargo Pants in ‘ Medium Olive ’ for 4- years now and have exclusively worn them as shorts. After so many great adventures they ’ re still hanging tuff, I had to grab the shorts version in Court Blue! The waistband for these is much more comfortable although I don ’ t have much of an issue in comfort with the original. The fastened belt seems a little thinner, but doesn ’ t seem less durable, and secures at the waist very well. It is slightly harder to adjust than the predecessor, which isn ’ t very much an inconvenience for a fastening belt. I ’ ll also note this pair seems to be a bit lighter which is a very welcome addition! Fit is loose and comfy yet secure, just the same as the OG pair, cant wait to see the wear over the years!

Right away they are super lightweight and stretchy. The 5 '' length is right on trend and the neutral olive colorway I have looks awesome with anything. The faux fly and back pocket make these superrrr versatile. They do not flare out much at the thigh which I like. These fit true to size for me. Having a waistband you can cinch is clutch too. These handled leg day with ease- no restrictions! The woven fabric feels great to the touch and wicks moisture crazy fast. If you are looking for shorts you can wear to the gym, but also can somehow look good enough to rock a polo with- these are them. Very impressive!

Favorite shorts I own. I have worn these a handful of times and they are I don ’ t have one negative thing to say about them! I ’ ll wear them on runs and just keep them on for whatever activity or errands I do after that. The zippered pocket in the back is great. It is big enough to hold an iPhone 13 pro but not too big where it ’s moving around a lot. The zipper opens and closes smoothly without any snags. Definitely want more of these!

I 've had these for over a month now and> 10 workouts. They fit great, size M for an athletic- but- not- huge guy, 6' 2 '' 200# with a waistline that varies 31- 33 ''. Quick drying, great for runs and everything else I 've done in them. They 'll be right at home for daily wear when the weather warms up. If durability maintains, these are a 10/10 for me. Quality feels just a bit better than comparable Patagonia shorts.

They come in sizes not often available in the US, have room in the hips to move around in, and have extremely durable but stretchy fabric; particularly in the middle so movement is never limited. The only ways they could get even better would be to have a zipper leg attachments and the black fabric colors to initially come as one blending color.- Additional Bonus: The pocket set up is amazing!
